The power was out here a few weeks ago. And I learned a lot.
1. I needed a battery operated switch for my husband's adaptive recliner chair. And a battery operated switch for our adjustable bed.
2. I ordered a light that goes around my neck. And a camping lantern that works on battery.
3. I ordered new flashlights, and a small butane 1 burner camping stove.
Too late for these people. But it takes a power outage to really understand what you need. We were warm enough, but it was chilly for a few days. Hoping people stay at home and stay safe. Driving on ice is no joke.
We had our cupboards open so the pipes wouldn't freeze.
The problem with houses in the south, is that they are not built for cold weather. The high humidity makes even 30 degree weather feel more like 10.
