Labor union that reps Jesus Campos says @MandalayBay had final say on media interviews. Last night MGM pulled the plug, they say. #LasVegas

Then they should have done it in advance of his travelling there and then getting stalked by trolls all night and his life further endangered by stalking psychos who are searching for a fall guy.
what did they do, leave it until the last minute?

-The State of Nevada requires ALL SECURITY GUARDS be registered with and licensed by the state, under the jurisdiction of the Nevada Private Investigator’s Licensing Board. A number of websites are reporting that Jesus Campos is not registered as a security guard. You can search at: nevadapilb.glsuite.us.

https://www.independentsentinel.com/mystery-surrounds-mandalay-security-guard-jesus-campos/

The link is to the Private Investigators Licencing Board, including private companies licensed to be hired by the public in providing security services. It ensures licensed firms and their employees are adequately qualified.

What appears to be somewhat ambiguous is hotel employees do not provide services to the public in the same way as hiring a Security Firm.

I don't think we have enough information. And anyway, if he was registered or if he needed to be really doesn't change the human element of tragedy that occurred, in my humble opinion.

So the union supported the interview? Okay...

-Some are confusing the security company that is guarding the home of Campos with the security company he is working for.
‘On Scene’ is the *alleged* company guarding his home with an expired license.

Do you have a link to the expired license allegation about 'On Scene'? TIA

There is some really crazy stuff out there on the internet right now. Freaky. I wonder if Stephen Paddock was one of these crazy Conspiracy Theory people? Could explain why he did what he did. He seemed very paranoid as do many of these people trying to blame the security guard.

Yes, that's the union that represents the security employee. They're a labor union. So?

-The labor union info originated with independentsentinel link.

They had an expired/defaulted business license yesterday. Expired 1/31/2017. Apparently when they were called out on it, they paid their late fees and got their license reinstated (today it shows active, with an expiration of 1/31/2018). Their guard license was still fine, so I'm not sure there was much to it other than weirdly allowing their business license to lapse for the better part of the year.

On Scene is the company guarding the home.

SPFPA is the union the MB security guards belong to.

I

This is exactly what I am talking about. Granted, this article is from 2002, so things may have changed. Private Companies are not usually subject to state regulations as we see was the case for security personnel in Vegas casinos.

Can anyone find information that these parameters have changed indicating that JC would have had to be certified?

That doesn't seem to align with what is being said in a lot of places, and what is written in the laws now. That was 15 years ago, so I don't know if there was a substantial change. Regardless, I don't think it does any benefit to keep restating the license issues anyway. We're aware they may be a problem. I'll avoid repeating it further in case it turns out to be a weird exception to NV law.

anyone heard where he is ??

lady last night said no one can findhim?

He can come stay at my house if he wants, I'll offer him the guest bedroom. Poor guy.

This increasingly reminds me of the horrific story of Richard Jewell, the heroic security guard at the Atlanta bombings during the Olympics. He was working as a temporary security guard when he saw a suspicious backpack in the park area. He began moving people away when the bomb went off. He was hailed a hero, but was later falsely accused of planting the bomb. The news media destroyed his life and health. Later, the real killer, Eric Rudolph, was caught. Jewell was exonerated, but it was too late. His life was ruined. He died from diabetes complications at age 44.

Does SG have a family? They must be traumatized, too. I hope LE arrests those crazy alt right people who are trespassing on his property and harassing him. I understand one of them has been arrested before in another altercation.

I would think a big entity like this is not gonna mess with a violation in this domain.

How hard is it to hire licensed sec guard for hotel

There would have to be some reason for them to hire him even if not licensed?

Its interesting-- he is the one that LE allowed to go away, out of town, for a bit for refresher,?

I don't ever remember anything like that happening before

He was the closest most needed witness to outline what transpired.

Can you imagine , an eye witness up close witness , to say one of those stabbings being allowed a short vacation , and leave the area of the stabbing before talking with LE!!

And now that I think about -- that might the reason they did not get the timeline right -- someone in control let him leave town instantly -- so maybe they did not even get the chance to talk to him until the timeline change .

just speculating

Expiring business license is no big deal. It happens. Some years it happens a lot if reminder notifications are changed by the state.

BBM

What is being said and in what places?

I am well aware that the article is 15 years old, however, since a local and credible source reported definitively that private casino's did not have to hire nor require that their security guards be licensed or certified under State Regulations, unless we see otherwise, there is nothing strange, nefarious, or weird about JC not being on some list of certified SG's and no apparent laws have been broken.

Unless of course, there has been a very significant change in law requiring private casinos to do so, than the entire conversation casting suspicion on JC and his lack of certification should die. I thank you for not repeating it now that we are aware that there is a very significant difference in regulation between State / City/ Security Guard and Private Investigators and likely Private Casino security guard employees in 2002. At least until we see a change in law that refutes what was the case in 2002.
