I know someone already said this about today's developments, but I have to echo it: what a mess.

And the wise old Sheriff encouraged them to publish, if they had the name...he cannot pretend he didn't know about that!

The LA times article mentions that there was nothing particularly striking about the unsealed warrants..
so what was the reason for sealing them?

They have updated the same article again and it's hell to read

  • portable solar generator
  • Gatorade bottle
  • 6-inch foam ball in package

I have never witnessed anything like this, it’s shocking!?!
A historic tragedy, worst mass shooting...and this craziness are not synonymous.

Am trying to procure a time of death and a means of vision via closed doors and walls on this and I reckon a name for the alleged swat dude with the eSP is out of the question..
I wonder whether this was reason they wanted them sealed?

there was no good reason to keep this hidden, was there?
If he saw him doing it, why didn't he stop him is the biggie?

think they could see through the walls..

Nope. But no where was it mentioned Paddock was alive and police watched him commit suicide. Now they are saying they saw it happen in front of them? Really?
Instead they said....

They stormed the room…

Officer: Breach, breach, breach.

And found shooter Stephen Paddock dead

5th officer: (inaudible) We have one suspect down.

Control: We need the air clear for Zebra 20, they have one suspect down inside the room. Zebra 20 has one suspect down inside the room.

They didn't FIND him dead if he killed himself in front of them.
Very big difference IMO

I agree.
I have always wondered about this.. does look like this is the information they wished to keep sealed, does it not?
He was never gonna be talkin'.. no reason to hide it..
wondering now whether Campos and other security dude witnessed this too, or had they left the floor at this point?

Also- why was he so quiet for a full hour, if still alive?

Really need times but it's unlikely we will get them..
What time eXACTLY did SWAT or a bit of sWAT get there to witness this 'suicide'?

We must have about 3-4 different reports so far on his death details:

On October 1, 2017, over 22,000 people came together to enjoy a country music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the third and final night of the festival, a lone gunman opened fire into the crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The gunfire continued for over ten minutes, resulting in the deaths of 58 innocent concert goers and injuring more than 700. With law enforcement closing in, the suspect took his own life.

After a successful breach of the doors to room 32-135, officers entered the room and found Paddock deceased on the floor. Paddock appeared to have ***a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head***Officers cleared the remainder of the room and observed multiple rifles in various locations throughout the room as well as hundreds of expended casings. A second explosive breach was utilized to gain access to room 32-134 through the connecting doors. Immediately after the breach a SWAT officer negligently discharged his rifle. Officers cleared room 32-134 finding several rifles in the room.

Team 2 encountered Paddock lying on the floor on his back. A small frame revolver was observed on the ground above Paddock’s head. Apparent blood was located on the revolver and a pool of blood had formed around Paddocks head. The officers ***believed Paddock had a self-inflicted gunshot wound***The large window at Paddock’s feet was broken out and the curtain was blowing into the room. On the floor next to the Paddock’s feet was a small sledge hammer and Paddock was laying on top of a rifle. The officers also observed several more rifles, spent ammunition throughout the living area, and several loaded magazines.

The exam room was secured by Clark County Coroner, John Fudenberg. Forensic Pathologist Doctor Lisa Gavin performed the autopsy with one assistant.

The decedent was x-rayed, photographed and cleaned prior to Doctor Gavin’s exam. Preliminarily, the injuries noted were on the posterior of both calves and a gunshot wound to the upper palette inside the decedent’s mouth with obvious damage to the upper teeth.

The cause of Paddock’s death was an interoral gunshot wound and the manner of death was ruled a suicide.

I am now wondering if perhaps Paddock was in the adjoining suite?.. when they entered..
- whether they knew his identity before they entered the room and whether they had the lock interrogations at that point, which seems feasible? They had adequate time also to have reviewed the internal and lift cctv footage so probably knew he was alone in the suite of rooms?

I was reading a twitter account earlier today, verified a/c though I did not know the guy, but he was describing the messy room as not being set up for a mass shooting.. where he thought the rifles would all be lined up in a row, he remarked some of them were on stands and therefore not to be used for the mass killing, but to him it appeared as though it was set up for Paddock to shoot his way out of the hotel, floor by floor..I thought about sharing link to thread here and i didn't because I did not know the author or his previous work.. it made sense to me though..

Really, there was no good reason not to release that info at the outset, even if they did kill him, with a head shot, it's highly unlikely it would have entered via his mouth , from a distance.
Though, if it is considered that a suspect may be wearing a vest or a belt, generally they will kill with a headshot, simply because a shot to any other part of the body could allow a suspect time to detonate.

I'd be interested in an analysis of the amount of damage he could have done to the hotel room with the quantity of explosives he had in his possession.

Nothing is clear now. Everything is mud and if those 300 more pages are released tonight, I'm too tired and frazzled to read them..

I cannot even imagine how this information will impact on the victims and their families..

I was thinking similarly about the adjoining suite and if they indeed knew it was him prior to “engaging the suspect”.

How long would it take to find out whoever the guest is in that room? Not long. So let’s suppose they quickly received the return info on identifying who the assigned guest is ‘Steven Paddock’ . I would imagine that becomes subjective among those (MB-FBI-LVMP) that knew him? Is he a bad guy, etc? These are just running thoughts at the end of a long day...nothing more.

I don’t recall knowing about bullets to his legs? How does that add up?

were they bullets or just wounds?

Wounds. Nothing to indicate they were from bullets.

Oh boy, can’t keep up with whose legs & what bullets! My mistake.

I noticed the list of hospitals and clinics on the FIT for each victim. There wasn’t any mention of Campos for his designated wound care location.

As i said way way back upthread. Can't believe anything you read with regards to this case. Don't take ANYTHING at face value with regards to this case.

The FIT report can now be classified as a forged document IMO. The door with no bullets in it is now but a minor detail in the grand scheme of this deception.

absolutely insane.
