I know someone already said this about today's developments, but I have to echo it: what a mess.

And the wise old Sheriff encouraged them to publish, if they had the name...he cannot pretend he didn't know about that!I know someone already said this about today's developments, but I have to echo it: what a mess.

Am trying to procure a time of death and a means of vision via closed doors and walls on this and I reckon a name for the alleged swat dude with the eSP is out of the question..I have never witnessed anything like this, its shocking!?!
A historic tragedy, worst mass shooting...and this craziness are not synonymous.
think they could see through the walls..Ummmm so he wasn't dead when they breached the door?

I agree.http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-03/this-is-the-moment-police-found-the-las-vegas-shooter/9009736
Nope. But no where was it mentioned Paddock was alive and police watched him commit suicide. Now they are saying they saw it happen in front of them? Really?
Instead they said....
They stormed the room
Officer: Breach, breach, breach.
And found shooter Stephen Paddock dead
5th officer: (inaudible) We have one suspect down.
Control: We need the air clear for Zebra 20, they have one suspect down inside the room. Zebra 20 has one suspect down inside the room.
They didn't FIND him dead if he killed himself in front of them.
Very big difference IMO

I am now wondering if perhaps Paddock was in the adjoining suite?.. when they entered..
- whether they knew his identity before they entered the room and whether they had the lock interrogations at that point, which seems feasible? They had adequate time also to have reviewed the internal and lift cctv footage so probably knew he was alone in the suite of rooms?
I was reading a twitter account earlier today, verified a/c though I did not know the guy, but he was describing the messy room as not being set up for a mass shooting.. where he thought the rifles would all be lined up in a row, he remarked some of them were on stands and therefore not to be used for the mass killing, but to him it appeared as though it was set up for Paddock to shoot his way out of the hotel, floor by floor..I thought about sharing link to thread here and i didn't because I did not know the author or his previous work.. it made sense to me though..
Really, there was no good reason not to release that info at the outset, even if they did kill him, with a head shot, it's highly unlikely it would have entered via his mouth , from a distance.
Though, if it is considered that a suspect may be wearing a vest or a belt, generally they will kill with a headshot, simply because a shot to any other part of the body could allow a suspect time to detonate.
I'd be interested in an analysis of the amount of damage he could have done to the hotel room with the quantity of explosives he had in his possession.
Nothing is clear now. Everything is mud and if those 300 more pages are released tonight, I'm too tired and frazzled to read them..
I cannot even imagine how this information will impact on the victims and their families..
I was thinking similarly about the adjoining suite and if they indeed knew it was him prior to engaging the suspect.
How long would it take to find out whoever the guest is in that room? Not long. So lets suppose they quickly received the return info on identifying who the assigned guest is Steven Paddock . I would imagine that becomes subjective among those (MB-FBI-LVMP) that knew him? Is he a bad guy, etc? These are just running thoughts at the end of a long day...nothing more.
I dont recall knowing about bullets to his legs? How does that add up?
were they bullets or just wounds?
The decedent was x-rayed, photographed and cleaned prior to Doctor Gavin’s exam. Preliminarily, the injuries noted were on the posterior of both calves and a gunshot wound to the upper palette inside the decedent’s mouth with obvious damage to the upper teeth.
Wounds. Nothing to indicate they were from bullets.

Sgt. Jerry MacDonald is the ONLY Metro employee who has described SWAT officers witnessing the shooter's suicide. "They observed Stephen Paddock place a gun to his head and fire one round."He was under oath, on the phone with Judge Nancy Allf. October 2 at 3:04 AM
