I agree. The emails, if anything, seem to have come from someone (a gun store, private owner, etc.) who was responding to an inquiry from Paddock about buying more guns, etc. Paddock bought something like 50+ guns in the months prior to his murder spree in LV. OCD guy that he was, he was probably still looking to buy a few more weapons to add to his stockpile.

Sadly, all the guns, bump stocks, etc. that are mentioned in the subject email are all items that are easily and legally purchased in the US at the time. If Paddock was an arms dealer, who was he going to sell these guns to? If he was an arms dealer from the US, he has no real market in the US as guns are available to pretty much anyone here. The few laws we do have are poorly enforced, if at all.

The only markets for a gun dealer living in the US would be selling to people outside the US and that's a big league market. US arms dealers selling in the foreign market sell large volumes of weapons. By the truckloads and shiploads. It doesn't look like Paddock was buying large volumes of weapons.

A potential market for his weapons could have been to people that are barred from purchasing. Felons, etc. But I think this is unlikely because he had purchased these weapons (as far as I know) in his own name. If you are looking to turn around and sell them to criminals or other weapons traffickers, you certainly wouldnt want your own name attached to them. I also agree its unlikely he was involved in international arms deals. I just don't see any evidence for it. I don't reject the arms-dealing angle totally, I just don't see it as most likely here. But I do think its possible he "thought" he was a dealer. Either he lived a fantasy life (Walter Mitty) or so far into mental illness that he thought he was a dealer. The emails between his accounts are intriguing for sure. Had he provided login info to someone to communicate through those accounts (a pretty good confidential communication technique) or was he just communicating with himself? Could be another sign of mental illness. He could have had bouts of delusion where he thought he was communicating with others when it was really just himself. Unfortunately, I assume now it is impossible to say if he was delusional since he was never examined prior and now he is dead. Unless there is some chemical analysis of his brain that can detect illness? I have no idea. The gf did say he had been acting very strange towards the end. But that could mean a lot of different things.

I don't think oxygen deprivation was the worry, but just that the smell of gunpowder would have been almost overwhelming. If smells bothered him, he have worried about it enough to come with a plan to deal with it. Although I could think of a lot better ways than this. And as Watergirl mentioned above, with his planning and OCD is seems odd to deal with it in this way. But maybe he did have an actual gas mask, but something happened to it last minute; ie it got lost or damaged. He didn't have time to get another and didn't want to put off the shooting, so he came up with the best he could last minute. Who knows.

I havent had time to read through the whole report, just been able to glance at it. I'll try over the next few days to get to it.

If answered my apologies-would the area have powder coating throughout? Like the very fine dust/soot that attaches itself everywhere? It may not be visible to us in the pics but it seems it would show up on some surfaces. The white sheets look pristine.

This in my opinion is one of the top 5 most insulting of intelligence pieces to this horrific mass shooting...MASSACRE! No doubt in my mind it wasn’t him, but even if it were, ELLEN is not the venue for an interview for this event. No matter the ease of her demeanor.

If he was so fragile he didn’t have to do a TV interview period. Why not go with a radio interview with Tricia at Webslueths? (Tricia can you find him for us?)

I doubt Campo's name should ever have been released to the general public. The head of security should have stepped up immediately and been seen to be in control. Instead we get unions and tv shows.. I dont know if it was Campos or not..
The other dude, security/engineer, could be a more interesting trail.
Bt again, where was the head of buildings maintenance that night and subsequently?

That hotel is insane and were clearly in a blind panic and not thinking straight at all.. I wonder why?

There would be powder residue on him for sure, and it would be abundantly clear which weapons had been fired. How far gunshot powder residue would carry I don't know. But it would have been all over his hands/gloves.

But he also would have known a delay would occur before either swats or bomb disposal people got there and he knew door would and could not be breached without them.
He knew it because there is a dated record of him looking up their protocols.
That would have been a highly significant aspect of his calculations... the 'how much time do I have here?' question.

But I don't know why he stopped when he did.. He knew perfectly well there would be a delay assembling relevant professionals.
He knew Vegas.
Maybe he knew cops?

The 60 Minutes Stars had a dude who thought he was in the wild west.. opened that door and fired shots immediately.. damaging some furniture .. for which his bosses will be billed, no doubt..

I believe Paddock did it. I believe his tracks show us that.

Or how he died.
Coroner is in charge and he may or may not release the information in full.

The hotel was in a panic about bad PR, loss of revenue and potential lawsuits. They circled the wagons very quickly. I'm sure their lawyers told them to not release any information to the public other than the most basic details. All other details will require a court order, search warrant or deposition. They released just enough information to reassure the public that everything is investigated, back to normal and that the hotel is open for business.

I also don't understand why they released Campo's name. That was unfair. The attacks against him have been outrageous. I hope he brings some lawsuits against his crazed attackers when he's ready. He stands to collect some money, given the way he was treated in the news media and social media.

It's the weirdest thing Betty!
He had enough explosives in that car to kill a lot of people.. without leaving his hotel room or his gaming machine, with a remote detonator and nobody would ever even have suspected him.. (he wouldn't have needed to use his own car, I know)

He needed the 'ritual' of the act for some weird reason which I shall try to stop pondering cos it's nowhere I ever heard of before.

The flowers: I have forgotten to comment but that is more than wacko if he glued the flowers on the styrofoam to make nice topiarys??? Does it say that or did they come assembled?

Possibles:
A decoy for a couple, versus one male. ‘Room service for two’.

He could at some point have set up a bedroom area for a female visits. The type of recreational visits that are not lengthy...ugh. The fake pink topiarys to appeal to girls??? He didn’t choose white, red or yellow...or green boxwood....

Some allusion romance factor in his own mind, cheap for sure because fresh flowers are readily available for picking and great prices almost every where you step in LV. But it could be the ‘allergy’ report??? Is that medically documented?

I'm pretty sure that dust is from the breaching explosive used to blow open that door. Though it still remains unclear why that door needed to be breached.

In my opinion it is a double door to the adjoining room. Instead of having 1 door with 2 deadbolts, they had 2 doors. Maybe for sound / privacy. It appears the hinges have been blown off (left side of door on the floor) as it appears there is damage. Which in all honesty, could have caused that dust on the suitcase Vs it being from ammunition dust.

If Paddock had fired from that room, which seems clear, then came back to the suite to fire, then how/when did he lock that door without having gone back through the hallway? Or, was the door not actually locked and the SWAT team just blew it open anyway?

Ok, I am editing this because I just answered my own question. The other door wouldn't have needed to be deadbolted. There is no handle on this side of the door. So it could have either closed on its own, or been pulled closed by Paddock after coming back to the suite. Once it closed and latched, there would be no way to open it from the suite side whether it was deadbolted or not.

That's not in the report, its in me. either that or we're looking at it wrong. every door had a record, the records all matched.. but the A-team may not have been fully cognizant of the fact, or got excited.. probably terrified too
