This doesn't look like the hideously decorated room I recall lol!

Same horrid carpet. Looking into the attached room.

I'm pretty sure that dust is from the breaching explosive used to blow open that door. Though it still remains unclear why that door needed to be breached.

I could agree with that, with my second look at the photo.

I'll give them a bit of the benefit of the doubt, that, given the shooting, the room service cart in the hall with the camera and wires, the enormous amount of weapons, weird stuff like the mask/hose, the police maybe were worried about potential booby traps and thought that an explosive entry to the adjoining room was a more safe option for them.

Agree, LE would have every reason to suspect that. It's happened before, unfortunately.

I was messin'.
They had every reason to suspect that room held far more than one terrorist, that it was likely to have been boobytrapped, that they were walking to their deaths.. and that any minute somebody in there was about to explode the biggest bomb ever heard of.
they would have been expecting vests, belts, bombs, the works.
It is highly unlikely any of them were fully sure they would return alive, or at all,,

For that reason, its less of a great idea to go in shootin'.. if somebody is in there wearing a vest, it gives them time to detonate it.
Protocols are for head shots only if a vest is suspected or seen.

That's where it went lopsided.

Hyperosmia.

OMG. look at this (apologies, it;s just wikipedia )
Hyperosmia is an increased olfactory acuity (heightened sense of smell), usually caused by a lower threshold for odor.[SUP][1][/SUP] This perceptual disorder arises when there is an abnormally increased signal at any point between the olfactory receptors and the olfactory cortex. The causes of hyperosmia may be genetic, environmental or the result of benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome.

Genetics have a role in single odorants, but not multiple. He was multiple.

From what I gather from Md info he had become more sensitive over time

Normal olfactory acuity will usually return over time if the cause is environmental, even if it is untreated.[SUP][6][/SUP][SUP][7][/SUP] The hyperosmic person may need to be removed from strong odorants for a period of time if the sensation becomes unbearable.[SUP][7][/SUP] Before they had been discontinued due to undesirable side effects, butyrophenones or thioridazine hydrochloride, both of which are dopamine antagonists, have been used to treat hyperosmia.[SUP][7]
For some people it can apparently lead to severe migraines..and vice versa..

That's wild. So, when smells were bothering him... it may have been a withdrawal symptom of the Valium he'd been prescribed. I'd never heard of such until now - learn something new everyday!

That's what I thought first then I read anecdotal evidence that amphetamines also heightened the sense of smell.
i'm still reading up on it..
what struck me as strange is that he did not have any of the recommended medicines in his possession, just valium..
Knowing he was entering a high pressure area, he was creating it.. would not take that medicine!

I'm looking for verifiable links with physical, neurological or psychiatric manifestations of hyperosmia... it's all I got.. doubt there will be a eureka moment.. far more attention paid to hyposmia..

In the majority of cases, if you `follow the money`, the pool of suspects and motives tend to dwindle. I don`t have a statistical source for this, it`s MOO.

When applying the above to this case, the pool of suspects didn`t have to be narrowed, rather was already selected by LVMPD or specifically, by Sheriff Lombardo. We keep analyzing the details however in the bigger picture think to yourself who would benefit from this shooting? I have tossed around the different possibilities with keeping an open mind as everyone has a right to believe as they wish. The enormous amount of red herrings have consumed the media and MSM ie MD, Campos, SP`s family, etc.

I read this MGM, Vegas Police Consider SWAT Building at Shooting Site and something clicked. Why did SP do this is what many of us are trying to figure out, right? The Sheriff and FBI aren`t providing this detail because the more we want this answer it keeps LVMPD in the headlines. Back to my first thoughts, follow the money. We`re trying to find a motive when simply put, doesn`t exist with Stephen Paddock as the `lone wolf`.

If your opinion differs, then we can agree to disagree.

Kitty I haven’t been able to keep up with your questions to us directly, but I want to so bare with me until I can. In regards to the one on how we feel about the report-I agree the report is detailed and scripted well as far as documentation. Then I come back to the point of Accuracy. I’m stuck...how can it be viewed as a job well done when there are missing pieces...key pieces...and conflicting accounts? I’m not asking you to agree with me, I am writing out loud to myself.

GSR from American primers primarily consist of lead, barium, and antimony.

https://www.forensicmag.com/article/2014/08/gunshot-residue-collection-decisions-make-or-break-case

AR-15 propellants and powders can discharge ammonia or strong sulphur odors. (Not linking AR-15 forums).

I used to run a blue line machine all the time when I was a draftsman. The ammonia system always had to be vented and it was straight-up bad working conditions when it wasn't venting efficiently.

I haven't read the previous threads so am coming at it from the other direction, but then, I'm a leftie. [emoji41]

Very often, people will have both immediate and delayed immune reactions with the cause of those*delayed reactions*going unknown for years. As you learn to live with these delayed reactions it can lead to hyper sensitivity to other environmental substances you’re exposed too. This is called chemical sensitivity and it is very common among those with true immediate response allergies as well as those diagnosed with asthma, COPD and probably even emphysema. We also know that people with ASD, (Autism Spectrum Disorder) as well as people with autoimmune conditions or who have a compromised immune system from Lyme disease or mycotoxins are highly reactive to man-made chemicals in our environment .

Let’s look at it like this:

Let’s say Paddock actually survived and was to go on trial for this massacre. What evidence have we seen thus far that a prosecutor could use to convict him?

Or

Let’s say he actually did commit suicide. What evidence is there that it was actually Stephen Paddock? Who id’ed the body?

People on the ground reportedly smelled a strong odor of gunpowder so it must have been strong wherever the shooter was.

Does it even make sense that there was a strong smell of gunpowder, what was it , 1000ft away?

I think that would depend primarily on wind direction. 1000 feet in which direction?

If I remember correctly, the police report said that the facemask was found in the garbage.
You can see it on the desk..

BBM
Clark County Coroner, John Fudenberg

Compare the 1st leaked photo to those in the 81 page FIT report. Is that really SP in both?
