Police describe the suspect as a 28 to 35-year old black man with a thin mustache and thin, 6' tall build. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with a Dallas Cowboys emblem on the front of the shirt and blue jeans. The child is described as a young black girl who looks to be about 8-years old with her hair in pig tails. She was wearing a dark yellow dress and appeared scared.

The victim says that she believes the child and man may have had a relationship based on the interaction between them, but that has not been confirmed.

Police say the suspect was last seen driving the victim's car north on Pyramid Highway. The vehicle is a 2012 maroon Nissan Altima with a Nevada license plate of 92F424.

If anyone has information as to the identity of the child, the suspect or their location please immediately contact the Sparks Police Department or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900, or text your tip to 847411. A $2,000 reward is being offered.

You know, it may mean nothing but the guy is wearing a cowboys jersey. I know there are cowboy fans all over but wouldn't hurt to report it?

It's been what, 3 days now? It's worrisome that no one has stepped forward to identify the little girl - she's not been reported missing. Did the suspect harm/murder her mother? And nothing in msm about other relatives reporting anything suspicious or recognizing the girl or the suspect.

This is one messed up case. The way I'm reading it right now is the suspect has possibly killed the girl's mother and is now on the run. Even if he turns out to be her father IMO this makes the situation very dangerous.

Maybe. Unfortunately my search skills are lacking - I can't find any reports in any state of a girl 6 to 10 years old missing that fits this case. Has anyone here had better luck? It's really hard to believe no one has reported her missing given the time elapsed and that's what's bothering me.

By now even if a child fitting the description has gone missing in another state it seems like there'd be a connection in somebody's mind. IOW, someone - mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. would have come across this story.

It's so sad that we don't even know her name.

Look up a few replies, there is a girl missing from Texas named monika Wilson I think? The guy is in a cowboys jersey. It could be totally unrelated but I think it's worth a call.

I spent a few hours the other day looking for a missing mom and daughter (of that age), with no real luck.

I really dont don't know what to think of their situation. I'm very surprised they haven't located the vehicle yet.

I don't think they are locals. My feeling is this might be a man on the run with a little girl, and we have no shortage of little black girls missing the last 7-10 years.

What bugs me about this case is that a couple weeks ago when I went to fish (Friends in Service Helping ) to get free food because I was broke there was a black family or group of two kids a man and woman who showed up there also...and it's really bugging me because it could have been at the ampm gas station, at the grocery store Smith's, or at the grocery store here at the end of my street airport rd Carson city...ive broken my head but I simply can not recall where or what time within the last 2/3 weeks that I saw a black man with a cowboys jersey (it stands out because I remember thinking man I used to be a cowboys fan because I'm from Dallas with a little girl with the pigtails because I remember that her hair reminded me of a YouTube video that I saw where a black girl glued weave on herself....you guys are right though that guy most likely ditched the car by now...but we should look for robberies with his description nearby because obviously he needed money since he stole and demanded money from the old lady. Also Reno has live traffic cameras the public can view by going to ktvn.com or Google traffic cameras Reno NV. I don't think it works on cell phones though...I agree that they were most likely not from the area...because of the cowboys jersey...it's rare to see someone wearing one around here and if so from my encounters it's someone who just moved here .

Rgonzalez I hope you can get back on your feet soon. Have you considered physically retracing your steps to check if being at a location and seeing it physically might help you make the connection of when you saw the cowboy jersey? Did you report your recollection to LE? Maybe they can help you piece it together. Any tip at all would be good. Please take care.
