Does the birth father have more then 1 sister? I'm just praying this child is out there safe somewhere. IMO

Just to clarify the location. I have been there (for healthcare). It has outdoor exterior cement hallways and stairs, like a motel. They are short-term apartments, with a small kitchen area, for folks who can’t come up with an apartment deposit or need something with weekly rates, cheaper than a hotel. They tend to be pretty noisy and unfortunately lots of people coming and going at all hours. The immediate neighbors could have heard something if there was a scene, but if bf is claiming the aunt just took the kid, no one would pay much attention at 6 a.m. IMO this story is not true anyway, but in very faceless, anonymous weekly apartments like this, no one would notice. If mom and bf are inventing a story, they may have chosen 6 a.m. because it’s the least likely time for anyone to be awake. Just speculation.
Thanks for the boots on the ground perspective. I haven't seen any mention of how long they have been staying at ES, and IMO it's a key detail.

For example, if they moved there shortly before Mom left for Colorado and there was no recent sighting of Amari- that's problematic.

A group of volunteers went searching for missing 2 year old Amari Nicholson, passing out flyers. The boy hasn’t been seen since Wednesday.

Thanks for local insight! Are these photos not from the place they are staying? The photos with the hallways?

Anyone else thinking LE is dragging their feet on this case? I want action from them. Take mom and bf and interrogate them. It appears that the case is being played in social media for everyone but the police. I don't know what I am looking for, I just want him to be found.

I'm watching "the" interview and can't believe my ears...and I'm only 4 mins in

How long had they been staying at the hotel? Where were they located before?

How long had they been staying at the hotel? Where were they located before?
And another question - is anyone staying with them in the hotel, temporarily or for a longer time? Or was it just the three of them (mom, bf, Amari)?

For context-- the Emerald Suites are in a dive area that is also surrounded by higher end hotels. The immediate vicinity consists of low rent apartments and other weekly motels. No, there are NOT corridors. The searchers were clearly looking at surrounding properties as well. My thinking is that they hope to jar the memory of someone who was nearby and ascertain if anyone, at any time, had seen Amari at that location. There is a McDonalds and 7-11 very close by as well. You can bet the police have checked those cameras. trash pick up is once a week in residential areas here but daily for businesses and there are TONS of dumpsters in and around the area which most certainly have been emptied more than once already. I have yet to see dogs searching-- have they been? Because the nature of the area is transient, I am sure the searchers are asking NOW because faces will change in a week. Someone upthread asked about preschool. Las Vegas does not have any formal public preschool at this age. If the child had healthcare, he was likely in the social service system and seen by specific practitioners. I am hoping LE is answering the question of when was Amari last seen by anyone other than mom and bf. I assume they are waiting on cell phone records of both to see if a call really did occur at 6 AM. Local news is not letting this one go and it is largely because Amari's father and that side of the family have been vocal and visible.

The hallways are open-air, so there are a few interior-facing hallways in some areas and many more exterior-facing walkways toward the parking lot. The doors/walls would be thicker and more insulated (from both noise and weather) than your standard indoor hotel hallway.

ETA: As I remember, there are 2 larger buildings with a hallway that cuts through the middle and just a few units that open into that center, open-air hallway. All the other units face out. The hallway photo referenced does not look like Emerald Suites to me, but I have not seen a patient there since before our COVID shutdown, so maybe 2/2020. I can’t be sure.

A complete tangent: I did have one patient stay in an interior hallway unit and the lights were burned out. It was terrifying and I had to turn my phone light on to see anything. These are not the most fun places to visit or live, in my opinion, and my heart goes out to the many families who must use them.

From the local news, it seems the family was staying in an exterior-facing unit? But the interior-facing units are well-insulated due to our severe heat and (short-lived) winter cold.

This is a contradiction contradicting a contradiction that contradicts the contradiction's contradiction.

For what it’s worth, I don’t believe a word of it. I do not believe anybody came to pick up Amari.

When was the last VERIFIED sighting of Amari by someone other than Mom or Boyfriend?

Those of us who have been following these cases for years know where LE should be looking.

Ugh….sigh…..MOO
These are my questions too, Tealgrove. I don’t believe word one of EITHER of their stories. I did appreciate the reporter in that interview really pushing for verifiable information that the mom was really where she said she was, and that part I do believe. I do think she was away helping her mom.

But the “someone’s gonna pull up-that’s why my bf was confused” so he sat by and watched a complete stranger not only get out of the apartment with the baby, but is so slow moving he couldn’t even catch the “aunt” and baby running down three flights of stairs, and into a parking lot - doesn’t fly. Not one bit. None of it. MOO

The aunt lives in Reno right?
I'm willing to bet the she was nowhere near Las Vegas on that morning, that she can prove it, and that LE knows that.

News report said California, I'll look for the link.

“We don’t have any leads,” said Amari’s paternal aunt, Yolanda Everett, of California. “It’s been five days now. The police are doing everything they can do. We are doing everything we can do.”

Police have released few specifics about Nicholson’s disappearance. Everett said the child was in the care of his mother’s boyfriend Wednesday morning at the Emerald Suites while Nicholson’s mother, Tayler Nicholson, was out of state in Colorado. The boyfriend told police that a woman showed up at the apartment the couple shared. The visitor claimed to be a paternal family member of Nicholson’s, and that she was there to pick up the child.

“He said he’d never seen the woman,” Everett said of the boyfriend’s account. “He just said she was related to my brother and that she took Amari from this complex, ran down the stairs, and we haven’t seen him since.

Everett said several family members of Amari have had their homes searched by police since the child disappeared.

Two aunts are pictured here in a news story from today. There will be an interview with them tonight at 7, so maybe we will learn more about which "Aunt" the parents are claiming took Amari.

I have felt the same frustration with Orrin and Orson West in Bakersfield, CA.

The parents have deferred to their attorney. You know, "right to remain silent". Two children just vanished. Whatever.

Well, this certainly doesn’t sound good at ALL! IMO.

I can’t get over mom not taking Amari with her to help her mom. I don’t care how bad I may feel or how hurt I may be, My grandkids ALWAYS put a smile on my face.

This whole story is troubling. JMO.
