Sounds like he has covid?
I think he's just in quarantine for two weeks as a precaution. MOO

ETA: I edited my post to include the article below but you both had already responded!

Suspect in death of 2-year-old Amari Nicholson misses court due to COVID-19 quarantine | Crime | fox5vegas.com
Rhodes didn't appear in court Monday due to jail COVID-19 quarantine restrictions, Judge Harmony Letizia said.

Letizia said Rhodes would be held without bail until his arraignment in two weeks, on June 1.

ME TOOOOOOOO
IT INFURIATES ME.
What goes up must come down. And becomes garbage. Messes with wildlife. Gets caught on power lines. And I’m pretty sure our planet is running out of helium!
There just *has* to be a more environmentally conscious way to celebrate a life, no? Get a few cheap fire works, get a bubble machine (or blow bubbles when Covid is over, otherwise it’s just a germ fest lol). Maybe have a bonfire and let the ashes and smoke go up into the sky.
I like the idea of getting lots of seed paper and writing lovely messages on them and planting a nice garden.

I get the sentiment and I don’t mean to derail the convo but COME ON.

The tattoo is not the murderers name. It’s the date of her first borns birth :)
The tattoo on her neck is the name of the murderer. The number on her chest is the birthdate of her firstborn.

Report: Man accused in Amari Nicholson's killing grabbed detective's gun while in custody | Las Vegas Local Breaking News, Headlines | fox5vegas.com
[...]

The report states that about 2 p.m. on May 12, Rhodes was being held in an interview room at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police headquarters. Rhodes's right hand was handcuffed to a secure mounting plate while his left hand was free.

Police said about 30 minutes later, Rhodes was upset, repeating, "Let me out of here" and "I can't go back." Two detectives entered the room and tried to calm him down, but he "remained combative," the report said.

Rhodes got up on a chair and lunged across the interview room table, grabbing the detective's gun from his hip holster, police said. Rhodes got possession of the firearm with his left hand, and both detectives struggled with him.

While he had the gun, police said Rhodes said, "I'm going to kill a mother [expletive]." Two more detectives entered the room and eventually disarmed Rhodes.

Family of Amari Nicholson thanks community, honors toddler with balloon release | KSNV (news3lv.com)
[...]

Amari’s family told reporters Monday that when no amber alert was issued, the Las Vegas community sparked an outcry for justice.

And that’s why they gathered outside Emerald Suites, the place Amari was last seen alive, to thank the hundreds of volunteers who came out to his rescue.

[...]

“I got to be strong for my other children and family but I am heartbroken. I will never be the same,” said JH, Amari’s father.

[...]

“Amari did not have to go this way, but this brought a lot of people together. It brought our family together,” said YE, Amari’s aunt.

The family showed up to Rhodes arraignment Monday morning to seek answers. They were disappointed to find out he wouldn’t be in court due to being quarantined.

[...]

And to the people who braved the search and didn’t give up hope, “Our family really thanks you for all your efforts and everything you’ve done to try and help us to bring Amari home,” said YE.

Amari’s father JH adds, “Everyone who accepted a flyer from me in the parking lots of Walmart, all over Vegas. The people who gave me a chance to hear what I had to say when I was looking for my son."

If that were true, he could have easily just used the gun on himself..
I don't think he was given an opportunity to use the gun on anybody

OMG I’m so sorry! I got confused.
Carry on!

I hope he never sees the light of day again, but the Clark County criminal justice system tends to be very lenient on felons, IMO.

Even ones who grab the cop's gun? I am hoping that action earns him significant time, even if the murder charge doesn't (hope that one does too, of course).

I don’t know about that, but they were very lenient on TR’s previous burglary and assault charges, IMO.

It's painful listening to the second call. I know the boy was already murdered by that time, but if he really was missing, hours had passed without investigation happening and I guess LE believed TR's story about the sister. The mom had to basically start over with providing the information hours after she already provided it.
