When they say "a period of time," how long are they talking about? Someone who disappeared a few years ago or could it be even further back? Thomas Jay Kerr http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/1825dmnv.html? These three men also disappeared from the Las Vegas area.

Do we know if this person is a male or a female? I notice both the cases that you say to keep in mind and the ones that first came to my mind were male. Please keep us posted.

We don't know the gender of the victim yet, but Perryman and Angell immediately came to mind because they both went missing from the 35-mile stretch of desert (and a few casinos) along I-15 between Las Vegas and the California/Nevada border. Koecher's case came to mind only because it is a prominent case.

As for as the timeframe, I suppose it could be any length of time. Bones can remain intact in that desert climate much longer than they would in a wetter climate.

What about Jessica Foster? She was last seen March 28, 2006 at 1009 Cornerstone Place in North Las Vegas, NV. That address is about 40 minutes from Jean, NV...pretty much a straight shot down I-15.

I have driven on the I-15 quite a few times between Southern California and Las Vegas. The last time I went that way, the two casinos at Jean were closed and fenced off (2008). I checked on the computer and it looks like they are open now. My thoughts why I suggested James Shaw, Edward Shea, and Thomas Kerr were primarily because if someone met with bad fate in Las Vegas and the person or persons responsible wanted to get rid of the body, they would probably want to do it while they were still in Nevada, before they crossed into California and had to go through the agricultural checkpoint.

I could definitely see why you suggested both James Perryman and Trevor Angell – I think Jean is the next exit after Primm. I think that they have found human remains in that area before.

I live in Vegas. Going out to Jean at night its pitch black. Also the Jean exit is used for the road that goes to a town called Sandy Valley. With the casinos beings closed not a lot a people are out there. I thought they torn down the casinos out there?

As far as I know from traveling to Vegas alot, the gold strike on the other side of the highway is still open.

I know that they are doing alot of building from stateline to vegas. Near where the Nevada Landing was they are in the process of building a relief airport for McCarren called Ivanpah Valley Airport - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I dont know if construction has started or not but I know that the project has been delayed many many times, in 2010 it was supposedly dead, but I am not 100% on that. Further down the highway they are building an energy plant.

Also the Southern Nevada Correctional Facility was there in Jean until 2008, according to Wikipedia. But the building may be leased to some other developments.

I wonder if the person was released from there and tried walking..but died due to the elements?

That could be. I wonder if there are any parolees who fell off the radar. They may have no family looking for them, and maybe just an overworked PO. I wonder if LVMP (or whomever is investigating) has looked into this possibility.
