There's the town of Lovelock about 90 miles north-east of Sparks, and the Humboldt river runs through it. I've heard people call rivers/streams like that before, but idk if that would be normal (aka everyone knows it as 'town xyz' and even though the river is called 'smith river' everyone still calls it 'town xyz river').
