NV - Girl, 2, found abandoned & injured on Fremont Street, Las Vegas, 4 May 2017

A 2-year-old girl was hospitalized Thursday after city officials found her injured and abandoned on Fremont Street at about 3:30 p.m. near the Las Vegas Club.

Around 4 p.m. Metro responded, and the child was taken to University Medical Center. The child had suffered injuries that a Metro spokeswoman called “suspicious.”

Authorities said around 3:32 p.m. City Marshals were called about the 2-year-old girl who was all alone near the old Las Vegas Club on Fremont Street.

The paramedics were called, and the child was taken to the hospital for treatment. Metro's Abuse and Neglect officers and Child Protective Services investigating.

The child 'had been left with her mother's friend' and is now with 'children's protective services', I think the mother might have some explaining to do.
