I agree with you Kimber,
To take it a bit further, I think that she was pissed off about seeing these people enjoying themselves and celebrating.
I think that she made the decision to wipe them out.
She was having a hard time and suffering, so they should too.
Her body language in court reflects conviction over what she's done.
She is absolutely NOT sorry over what she's done to so many lives.

I do not doubt that she had many obstacles and hardships throughout her life. Probably most of here on websluths have as well.
But, deciding to murder as many people as possible behind the wheel of a car because you're pissed, is a whole nother mindset.

Toxoligy reports will be interesting. BUT her cockiness and "I don't care" attitude in the courtroom today, should be important to this case.
IMO

I feel the exact same way. She knew what she was doing was wrong. I don't think she "snapped" at all.

Evil.

This is unusual for Toronto. Normally there aren't many random attacks there. If there is violence it's normally between people who know each other, with drugs involved.

I mean, two attacks within an hour is seriously strange. Enough for me to speculate if these two attackers know each other.

Clothing designer??????

Hi Bravo!

That struck me as peculiar also. There was also (linked and posted last thread) from the guy who had coffee with her a few weeks ago.

In that piece they were discusssing something related to "transportation"??

And then earlier in this thread there was a post about her driving long distances "this week"

?????????????

and I beleive (not "transportion" but both came from cousin

From post several posts ago

had stopped in Las Vegas twice as part of a long road trip: once last week and once on Sunday

All so bizaire .............

And impatient, like this whole thing was interfering with her day.

I can't stoping wondering why she didn't ask about her kid. Even if she knew already. I would be begging and crying.

In America you are told not to utter one word!

Oh my mistake everyone it was not within an hour. One was afternoon, one was evening. The news stories appeared within an hour which confused me.

Still this is very unusual for Toronto.

Mr. Dear missed that memo.

(Did you see he requested today at his hearing that they draw his hair sample to see if he's currently being poisoned? Classic sign of schizophrenia imo, or at least an attempt for it to appear that way...)

From Dear's hearing today re: the request for a hair sample:

! Mental illiness tends to do that to some folks!! And if you noticed the outbursts were primarily paranoid in nature --

(So many threads here lately like this imo, are people becoming more bonkers, or does it just appear that way because of our increased awareness due to internet? I'm asking seriously. Not trying to be too O/T).

Eta: call me an old hippy, but what happened to "Cmon people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try and love one another right now."

Maybe the internet is opening the eyes of people towards mental illness, thank goodness & just who is evil and who is not.

I find it a good lesson to learn & agree, C'mon people now...

O/T:

News on in background any of you or anyone you know flying American Airlines the airline is telling folks to arrive at least three hours before departure (not a typo domestic flights) no gift wrapped stuff will be allowed...

they will open up your gift wrapped stuff then kindly give you free wrapping paper after they destroy yours!

Couple more months some more secuity folks are gonna have to pack a tent so they can get to the airport the day before departure , and bring no bags (Making this part up !)

Sadly I think the internet has been around long enough resulting in it truly being about an increase.

No and I would really, really like to know. The other information seems vague as well - she was on some kind of road trip and this was her second stop in Las Vegas? Where is home? Even if she doesn't have a place of her own road trip to me implies she started somewhere and was going back to there.

From what i'm getting here, I'm hearing that we can't expect any more from this woman &others like her because she had a bad childhood &cannot be expected to rise above it. If that is truly the case, then people in her position should not be allowed to have children, drive cars, own guns, etc, cause they just can't handle it. All there should be for her is govt programs to get her thru life & never expect good results, cause she just ain't capable.

Respectfully snipped for space

I gave a lot of overnight thought to this post and believe you hit the nail on the head in the above paragraph, especially the bolded portion. The operative word, I believe, is EXPECT. When nothing is expected of a person, especially by those who are working with them/supposedly helping in some way, what incentive do they have to do any better? None, as far as I can see. In my experience, most people try to live up to what is expected of them, one way or the other. When nothing is required, nothing is given.

I believe you hit the problem square on with this very insightful post.

This is why I am a huge proponent of teaching emotional intelligence in school. You don't have to have people expect more of you to do better. Many people are good people without outside forces expecting them to be or do well. People need to be taught their feelings do not control them, but that the inverse is true, they control their feelings.
