EXCLUSIVE: Las Vegas Strip 'murderer's' baby father revealed – boyfriend lived with her before split which may have triggered her to mow down innocents

Lakeisha Holloway, 24, is accused of murder through use of deadly weapon after 39 people were mowed down on the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday

She had her daughter in the back of the car - her father can be named for first time as Anthony White Jr

Couple had lived together in Louisiana and according to her family in Texas but he has not been to see his child

Holloway, 24, has also been charged with child abuse and with leaving the scene of a collision

She is being held in 'lock down and isolation' in a 'medically restricted' cell

Clark County DA previously said seeking death penalty is 'a consideration'

This is why I am a huge proponent of teaching emotional intelligence in school. You don't have to have people expect more of you to do better. Many people are good people without outside forces expecting them to be or do well. People need to be taught their feelings do not control them, but that the inverse is true, they control their feelings.

Agree 100%. Expectations simply skew the view and set people up to
fall short. Much like "I'm so disappointed in you."

Not sure how to make a triangle on here but....

Thoughts

Feelings Actions

It all goes either way and can be interrupted and turned around.

Made a world of difference in my life. Learning it three of four years earlier would have saved a lot of heartache.

that's defense BS- talking to potential jurors- she looked like she could care less in that courtroom

its human if you goggle it to see the adjectives used and their variance to describe her "court appearance".

To me, she looked totally exhausted, settling in to what she did, realizing she would never see her child again, and depressed ............

as I posted earleir
has not been to see his child
I saw very few fathers, while working with disenfrached - its a very maternal culture, sister grand ma aunt etc

Officials say the woman accused of intentionally crashing into pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip still uses the name on the suspended Oregon driver's license obtained by police following her arrest.
Records in Oregon show 24-year-old Lakeisha Nicole Holloway changed her name in October to Paris Paradise Morton.

attorney, Joseph Abood, said Wednesday that Holloway hasn't used the new name when he has spoken with her.

This kinda stuff is silly - do I feel bad for her and vistims, but this is just silly:

Her public defender says that just because she's charged, it doesn't mean she's guilty.

I think our laws need a total rework since cell phone and video . Its just flat stupid IMO:

both sides investigate the crash Sunday
what is there to investigate? She walked up to a valet, said I hit people and handed him her keys. What is their to investigate?

Same with Dear there is video of him walking around doing what he did. You dont have fingerprints (!) in vestigate all you want...............you got video of you committing acrime , get the sentence over with and clear up the docket..

Its just big bussiness and creates jo0bs i suppose...........

more from Blondie post

this month she left Portland, changed her telephone number, lost touch with her family and lived for the last week before the car crash out of her car in Las Vegas.

one source said that he had reacted 'aggressively' in the aftermath of the alleged murder.White has spoken to her defense team on the telephone, but his co-operation at this stage has been 'limited'.

hree-year-old has been visited by relations from her mother's side.

ustody of the toddler is likely to go to Holloway's mother. The grandmother had formed a bond with the child during her time in Portland, it is said. But White would be entitled to seek custody of his daughter, although he had made no moves thus far.

she appeared to vanish completely from their lives after the name change. This is different than the repoerts by the cousin or whoever that one was....

Holloway's mother told her she had not heard from her since and she 'went off the radar'. (relapse?)

I agree. Unfortunately people see what they want to see. She killed someone, she is evil, so lock her up.

The reality is that she is just a person with mental issues, who snapped. She apparently has no criminal record. She was taking care of her child the best she could for living in a car with no means of support. She was doing pretty much everything she could to be as productive a member of society as she was capable of.

This case represents everything that is wrong with America. Tax payers are more then happy to spend over $50,000 a year to lock her up for the rest of her life. But they won’t spend even a fraction of that money on mental health or homeless services, that could prevent stuff like this from happening in the first place.

So the results are, we have the biggest for-profit prison system in the world, making money for corporations that own the prisons and we have millions of mentally ill homeless people wondering the streets like zombies with no place to go, or in this case driving around, until they finally snap and commit a crime and get locked up.

In general, it is important to remember the option of personal time & monetary contributions if one feels compelled.
We don't have to wait to be mandated by big gov't to chip in.....we can all take personal ownership.

Not directed at anyone: just a gentle reminder.

Greaqt post;

With the money that does go treatment for poor, it is designed by people who have no clue what they are even trying address

My little fantasy is is like Unniveities- campus where there is 1-12 school small community hospiatal, mental health clinic , meidcal, social servieces, dorms day care

In order to " get in" you must be drug free, agree to random draws, be without transportation (one of the biggest obsticles was transportation. The goal was to put everything in wlaking distance. YOu must attend therapy, maintain a B average, or seek and attend tutoring, work on campust 25 hours a week .(not paid -contributing to t he costs of the place while getting work experiece)

In my little head, "clear out" the obsticles (employment, day care, illitercy starving, electriicty etc. So many want to get out - and try but year after year our designed systems our just undoable- 95% of us starting at 16with a kids single parent would fail also with the current mess.

For the most part, its not not wanting out of it, or being lazy and expect govt money ( alot of folks think this population wants to just get a handout, heck the handout itself is obserd and the dance to get it, means no time to work, care for your kids, etcetc

all countries have poor - and crime, obviouly we are not doing something correctly as a indutrilzed nation. Hey we have been in that lock em and throw away the keys mode for decades, and look where it got us.

Like you said the amount of money spent to incarate em would be better spent, for soceity, to get real tools inplace to avoid the whole mess, for the most part in the first place.IMO

Seems that Lakeisha Holloway had, at some point before plowing into people, been smoking marijuana.
"A woman accused of ramming a car into a crowd of pedestrians in Las Vegas earlier this month had marijuana in her system at the time of the deadly incident, it was revealed today."

That can't possibly be the extent of it, tox-wise, can it? Hmm.

So she tested positive for thc? That doesn't prove when she used it...

Her actions seem even worse to me if she wasn't under the influence. No excuse at all.

"There is no reasonable explanation or excuse for the actions of this defendant," Wolfson said in a statement. "The results of the toxicology test do not change the initial charges filed against Ms. Holloway."

Wolfson's office also said that "additional charges will be considered, but no decisions as to what those will be have been made at this time."

Holloway, who is due back in court on Jan. 20, repeatedly drove her Oldsmobile sedan onto the sidewalk, ramming pedestrians as bystanders pounded on the windows and tried to pull open her car door to stop her, police said.
