When I first read this I thought she may have been sending or reading a text. But the wittiness saying she had both hands on the wheel made me think it was more sinister somehow.

It has been deemed intentional. Not only did she plough thru once but twice.

Does anyone else remember the same thing happening in Reno? It was years ago... maybe in the 90s. Google brings up a million results for this so I haven't been able to find a story about it.

Driver was also a woman iirc.

(Slightly O/T, something like this happened to some friends of mine a few years ago, a random attack...They were leaving a high school reunion, visiting with folks on the sidewalk, saying goodbye, etc when suddenly out of nowhere came a car at full speed heading right at them. The husband heroically pushed his wife and friend out of the way and took the brunt of the hit, his head went through the windshield and he was stuck riding on the hood this way as the driver circled back around the same parking lot and went in again for another attempted impact on the crowd. My friend fell off the car, then the driver took off down the road. My friend miraculously survived after some brain procedures to reduce the swelling, etc..I was in the hospital with them...they caught the guy shortly after the incident that same night as he was in another parking lot iirc...it was a fairly young male, and from what I remember he posted something on SM right before those attacks saying he was all fired up after just watching the show Dexter. My friend that got hit, his brother was a cop, so in the hospital it was a bunch of cops in the waiting room. Let's just say the individual in custody wasn't going to be getting any special privileges...)

RENO, Nev. (AP) — When Bob Haun recalls how close he came to being killed 25 years ago in downtown Reno on that deadly Thanksgiving Day, the Idaho rancher remembers first hearing a scream.

"I didn't know if it was some girl hollering for the fun of it," Haun said.

It wasn't.

Bearing down on Bob Haun and his wife Shirley was a murderer. Priscilla Ford, a mentally ill woman who sometimes claimed to be Christ, was driving a 1974 blue Lincoln Continental through the crowd on a busy North Virginia Street sidewalk, mowing down everything in her path.

Throwing this out there, I read that the Joint Counter-Terrorism Task Force was immediately on the scene covering their bases. They sure ruled out terrorism quickly, didnt they? I mean, within an hour or whatever. Did this allow enough time to scour electronic communications, etc? It reminds me of when a window shatters up here and automatically it's ruled out to be "road debris". Just sayin...

A 32-year-old Arizona woman was killed after another woman drove a car on a sidewalk and through a crowd on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday, officials said.

Jessica Valenzuela, 32, of Buckeye, Arizona, died from the accident, the Clark County, Nevada, Coroner's Office said today. The cause and manner of death are pending.

The accident also injured 36 others, including six critically, police said, but those six were later upgraded to “stable.”

Antonio Nassar told the Las Vegas Sun he had just walked out of Planet Hollywood when he saw the car roar onto the sidewalk, slamming into stunned pedestrians. It briefly dragged a young boy, he said. The sound of the car hitting people was like "watermelons falling on the sidewalk," Nassar said.

"It was chaotic," Nassar told the Sun. "I was running down the street saying, 'Move! Move! Get out of the way!'"

They have to do that to quell public panic and IMO it will go on for awhile. This happened after 9/11 so often it became a joke about earthquakes and tornadoes being unrelated to terrorism.

Why would the windows be or not be road debris?
