Watched this whole thing. So….sad. So very sad

does anyone else think it’s odd the sheriff would say so matter of fact that it was murder suicide? Surely it needs to be confirmed still.
Also I read (I can’t recall where but I’ll look for source) that mom posted 13 hours ago how excited she was for competition.
Do you think police will release the note?

I read that also. I also am part of a group on FB where someone that is friends with Tawnia on FB noticed that it had been locked down within the past 2 hours or so. And posts she was able to see previously could no longer be accessed.

Her own child. I just can't.

Wow. What was going on in the mother's life to make her do something like this? The poor daughter. She was probably so excited for her cheer competition and she ends up murdered. What an awful tragedy.

No I’m guessing it’s pretty obvious so that’s why he’s matter of fact. And yes people can say all types of things while planning something heinous. We often don’t know what’s behind seemingly happy posts

Imagine how many other kids will be affected by this mother's act...every kid at the competition.

I was reading that her ex and his new wife were causing all kinds of trouble for she and the little girl. Absolutely devastating that this is the only way out the mother could see.
And this is totally not the way to deal with it! RIP Addi. You deserved better.

WTAF? I was NOT expecting it to turn out this way. This is just bizarre. Why would you do it this way, on a trip, just before a competition, that no doubt both were looking forward to? This is just so sad. Did Tawnia have any other kids?
I wasn’t either! What was the point in going all the way to Vegas? And all those poor kids on her team! Showing up ready to go, nervous and realizing a teammate didn’t show up, now you’re upset, nervous and worried about someone who most likely was like family. A whole team probably traumatized. What I could see of Moms social media she seemed proud of her daughters cheer life what made her do something so drastic at something her daughter probably loved.

I guess it makes some kind of sense to do it where family or loved ones won't find you, but the timing is just off. I wonder whether it was carefully planned or whether something tipped her over the edge that night/ next morning? I assume she carries a gun because she can, and not for this purpose? So many questions, so sad all round.

Police said that sometime on Saturday night, the mother shot the daughter and then herself. The mother was in her mid-30s, and the daughter was a preteen, police said.

Authorities said a note was left in the room, but no details were released.

What a tragedy 😢

Doing this heinous act in such an important place for alllll those girls in Las Vegas..............

I am certain there were driving family issues and or mental health issues....
But........ to "damage" so many young people is just criminal.

I won’t judge, but I can’t help wondering what pain or despair could lead to such a tragic act. We may never understand.

Forensics can tell a lot very early on. Out of respect for Addi and those that loved her and her Mom, I'm not going to provide detail but there is a specific wound morphology when firearms are involved, in addition to GSR (gunshot residue), fingerprints and bloodstain pattern analysis.

This was the last thing I expected and can't imagine the trauma for those other children there for such an uplifting event.

The timing and place this mother decided to commit this heinous act is quite disturbing. So many young people and families traumatized. I don't claim to understand mental illness but in similar cases, I don't see a complete disregard for others.

IMO, this was an act of revenge meant to hurt people. So so sad. Fly high sweet, Angel.
