I saw an eerily similar abduction on an episode of "See No Evil" titled, "We See You Kelsey".

It's about the abduction and murder of Kelsey Smith. She too was 18 years old.

Her abduction was in broad daylight in a Target parking lot at 97th and Quivira, behind the Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, Kansas.

Murder of Kelsey Smith - Wikipedia

They were able to find the perp using cameras inside the Target and also in the parking lot. He too drove up in a pickup truck, stalked Kelsey and forced her into the passenger seat of her car and drove off.

I'm hoping that they will catch who did this to Naomi. I'm hoping that there is a camera somewhere that caught the license plate of the pickup truck.

Abducting a young woman in a parking lot is too common. Evidence of criminal activity in Naomi's vehicle suggests blood. It sounds like she was injured at the time of abduction.

Molley Tibbetts was whacked on the head while out jogging by a man who had watched her for a couple of weeks and was looking for the right time to toss her in the car trunk and murder her. Dru Sjodin was leaving work when a man pulled a knife out of a sheath and stabbed her into the back seat of her own car and drove away. Jessica Lloyd was murdered by a stranger who stalked her prior to holding her for days before she was wrapped in a carpet and left in the forest.

All together, this seems like someone with deep insider knowledge. It’s incredibly brazen to kidnap her in her car and then drive her very recognizable car right back to within a block of the kidnapping site 11 hours later! In broad daylight! He had to be 100% certain that no one was looking for her or her car. Likely related to the 12 hour shift timing.

But wouldn’t he worry that her work alerted people that she didn’t show up for her shift? If he was so confident about that makes me wonder if he had her call in or text in sick that Saturday?

her work said she was a no-call, no-show

Brazen to attack a 5'11' 23o lbs woman while she was virtually talking to friends in her car.

Without doubt, insider knowledge in terms of watching/stalking her.

I wonder whether anyone called her work to enquire whether HR called home when an employee was a no-show. The suspect seems that organized.

Leaving her car so close to the abduction location almost seems like a taunt to police. I don't believe that Naomi is his first victim.

I agree with what seems to be the prevailing opinion, that the suspect probably had stalked her and was acting alone, but I've even wondered if it is possible that he is a professional who was hired to abduct her and take her to someone else.

Here’s pics of where her car was found. Posted a couple days ago, but just in case you can’t find them back in the threads.

So looking at where the car is parked, there is cameras on the light poles inside the Sherman Williams lot pointing in that direction. (per Google streets)

Looking at these two photos. One is from Google maps which is a different date. And the other is from the missing poster. They look identical.

What do you think.

The suspects truck is said to not have the chrome bumper. It is either painted or a custom bumper but not chrome. The truck in this pic has a chrome bumper. This is per Naomi’s brother Casey.

Was casey the first to spot the truck. Can we pinpoint who identified this truck as possible suspect truck.

Also thank you for pointing out the bumper difference. So the date on the Google map Pic is unclear. So besides the bumper anything else differ.

I do not think it has been released who identified the truck as a possible suspect but my guess is that LE has video from Lowes and SW that points in that direction. I have wondered if it was possible that the perp parked the truck at the Flying J. From my experience as a past driver, the stores and pumps are covered with cameras but the parking lots are not. Many times a driver has passed in his truck and no one notices that it hasn't moved in x number of days (less common now because of GPS tracking). It is entirely possible that his truck could have been parked there and no one would have noticed. According to google maps it is literally 3 tenths of a mile further than lowes so about the same distance as to where her car was found. My only problem with this theory is how would he have ditched her car and then to his truck?

‘The Flying J truck stop is on the other side of the freeway, and walking to/from it would expose him to more visibility by passing traffic than parking east of the Walmart or Lowe’s.

I don’t think the truck was parked there.

Given the year of the truck, less than 36 months old, the owner registered it for warranty. There's a record of this truck owner - just a matter of time until he is found.

The aerial search area I saw yesterday on FR24 was to the west of your yellow oval on the satellite image. It was to the southwest of Pyramid Lake, seen there on the map. There are numerous small mines and one large open pit mine in those mountains east of Spanish Springs. The land north of Nixon and around Pyramid Lake is all Pyramid Lake Paiute tribal land. The west side of the lake is very popular with fishermen, and the east side of the lake has a couple of parks for camping and recreation.

Fallon has the large Naval Air Base Fallon, where there used to be Top Gun training.

Not sure why I want to understand exactly how the suspect approached Naomi's vehicle, but I think it helps me understand the suspect.

The photos that were released first show the suspect walking away from the camera in the direction of B to C (see illustration). The video then shows the suspect emerging from C after a car pulls in and shines lights on him. I'm curious at what time he was first seen on CCTV.

Was he standing there, in the dark, watching Naomi's car out of sight of other vehicles? He then walks slowly past the parked cars, stalls by the blue car on the end, then walks towards the camera, stops, turns around and looks at Naomi's car again.

Imagine what he must have been thinking? Was he fighting the urge at the same time realizing that he'd been carefully planning this step by step for some time so now was the perfect opportunity? Everything lined up for him, including parking his truck out of sight?

I'm guessing that, from where we see him standing at the end of the video, he then crosses the parking lot and approaches Naomi's car from behind, point D - although I'm not sure which direction her vehicle faced.

Red lines are suspects possible path based on photos and video.

At first the still that was released I thought maybe it was when he first arrived. In that photo her sister confirms that her car was already there and the video had cropped out her car. (the attached photos are not my work). I believe it was her brother stated that the perp was already there when she arrived. Please correct me if I am wrong. Was he pacing the length of the building just waiting?

Casey has no info on the truck. He has stated in several interviews that he looked LE in the eye and they told him it is a suspect vehicle. IMO.

Referencing the livestream GH youtube, the suspect is described as arriving from the direction of the homeless camp. He circled the parking lot and then he approached her car from behind. That's linked upthread somewhere.

If we knew which direction her vehicle was pointed, we would know from which direction he approached her.

This was the original still posted by LCSO taken from CCTV. Naomi's car is parked far left.

Ok so if the car was left at Sherman Williams factory, and if that is in fact the suspects truck in the picture. Than looking at the surroundings of the picture should give us the idea of where the truck was when the picture was taken. Also if that truck is a high country, that's what a $70k truck. And those trucks are loaded with technology. If it was stolen it would be located quickly.

We had a pretty vigorous discussion about this several pages back. Several people, including me, thought they looked like the same vehicle, and the original poster emailed in a tip, along with screenshots. Since then, with more info coming out about the description of the truck, painted bumpers vs chrome bumpers, and closer inspection, I think the concensus is that they are not the same truck, A couple posters identified the truck at Walmart on Google Maps as a Dodge Ram. Yeah I agree after hard looking at the picture it isn't the same. It's really close but I think with different angles provided we could be for sure
