Lyon County is the third largest county in Nevada by population, 59,000 0r so.

Before the development of the business park complex that houses Tesla and Panasonic, the legal brothels were a major source of revenue for the county. Lyon County Sheriff was not really recruiting the cream of the crop in terms of LE talent. ( The late Dennis Hof's Bunny Ranch was a big revenue source)

I'm very thankful that the FBI has been involved since the beginning.

Did we know that there’s another young lady missing from this area? Mariah Cook. No thread?

I searched on FB but only found one post w/o any info. Not in news yet (I'm local) and can't tell if she's actually missing, run away or any info yet. Says to contact Lyon County Sheriff but no case number or anything helpful yet.

There was also a young woman 23 (Anna Scott) found shot and in her car and they burned her car in Feb. Don't think it's related but just another indication of crime here. They are still looking for the suspects on that one :(

According to what I am seeing, The Gigafactory employs about 7,000 people, with Tesla and Panasonic accounting for the bulk of those. Did the shuttle that picked Naomi up only pick up Panasonic employees, or did they also pick up Tesla employees as well? Did the shifts of both companies coincide? Did the shuttle make multiple trips back and forth daily? I wish we knew more about the arrangement. JMO

I have to believe she was not the only employee who the Panasonic shuttle regularly picked up. As you can see by the sheer number of people employed, Tesla and Panasonic are big employers in Northern Nevada. There has been a substantial increase in the population of workers in Reno, but also in people moving to cheaper housing along the I-80 corridor ( Sparks, Fernley, and to a lesser extent Lockwood, Wadsworth and some in Fallon too.) The Reno housing market is suffering from Californication, with home prices reflecting egress from Sacramento and some Bay area people who want out of the California Tax, social welfare, and woke regulatory environment. As a result, there has also been an increase in worker population along the less-expensive Highway 50 corridor, from Carson City, Dayton, Silver Springs, and Stagecoach). All of these groups would be served by the company shuttles, so I'd guess maybe 20 or more people regularly got on the shuttle from Fernley. It might be fewer on Saturday, but I don't really know how their shifts work.

The development of a Walmart, Lowe's, etc are all a result of the influx of these workers and the needs of an affordable growing community.

The Anna Scott murder is not related. The suspect(s) are identified in the community

Can somebody listening summarize for those of us who aren't in a position to listen live? Thanks!

Pretty much same as the previous one. Not hearing anything new. Reiterating ANYONE to come forward with info, regurgitating the facts of her disappearance, asking for anyone in the Walmart Parking lot during the time they suspect her disappearance to provide any info. Then reporters are asking questions now.

Stated they do not believe suspect is homeless or from the homeless camp. Clearly said he had access to the vehicle they are looking for. Asking for anyone that possibly knows that vehicle or info to come forward and contact LE.

So far there doesn't seem to be anything new on the PC but I have to give that one reporter lady props for really asking all those questions. She is trying so hard!

As usual, only releasing what they can. Have a lot more info that they cannot release. Will update public with anything once it's allowed.

Couldn’t watch any longer. Feed was terrible. So, nothing new. Not a thing. So frustrating. JMO

Yep, now mom and family is up . . . nothing new :( But at least she is still IN the news so that's good.

Asking anyone to bolo for ANY of Naomi's personal belongings: clothing, purse, phone (even if broken), etc. Do not think any info is too small, come forward and let LE look into. Begging people to call with any info. If anyone was at the Walmart site, please call. They are looking for ANY clues, info.

I am struggling to watch that mom and not cry. Her pain is palpable.

May be a stupid question… if they are relatively sure about the suspected truck, why no amber alert?

Her poor mother...utterly heartbreaking!
