Even though this is not apparently the 2022 model, it could be a leftover 2020 or 21 vehicle being sold as new. In that case, it wouldn't have any license, as it technically hadn't been sold. However, the shipping manifest must have easily identified vehicle information and VIN. It shouldn't be difficult to pin down where it originated, where it was heading for sales, and the shipper/ driver. This would not take 11 days to figure out, unless the driver (potential perp) could alter the shipping documents to make this appear to be a different vehicle.

It's not *that* unusual a vehicle. In a rural area where fishing/hunting/offroading are popular, I'd expect to find several dozen at least, a lot more if you start looking over the state line at California places. It could take them quite a while to pinpoint anything.

That is a good point. My only hesitation is that I have to believe that LE has to know every dealership within 100 miles that has a new blue Silverado sitting in its lot. Those dealerships must have cctv, right?

You would think so, though I'm guessing that in the situation we're hypothesizing, the person who used it would be an authorized person with a good reason for moving or using the vehicle, so a lot of alibis have to be checked.

I'm wondering about whether the person came from over the state line. It's not a long drive down I-80 to Grass Valley or even Sacramento, there are probably a lot more people who haven't even heard about Naomi's case, and there might be jurisdictional issues about the investigation. Probably nothing serious but possibly enough to slow things down.

We just had a 2014 BMW shipped to us from Arizona to the East Coast, we were able to track the car whenever it was turned on through a BMW app that we had synced with the car. The technology is definitely available, but I don't know if there is a way to access that type of information based on only knowing the model of the car.
I remember a few years ago there was some fuss in Germany about a car manufacturer (could be BMW) that was able to track and trace it's cars.
People were upset about it cause they felt their privacy was violated.

So I was wondering what US car manufacturers are able to trace. And if they are able to tell LE what VIN number was driving there.

But, wouldn't the next shift need to be present before the previous shift left?

I wasn't thinking just manufacturing. Maybe overnight maintenance, security, do they have overnight shipping and receiving?

I think LE (esp FBI) would be able to get ahold of all the DMV records for the states west of the Mississippi River and sort them by make & model registered, too.

I'm sure they physically could. Whether a judge would issue a search warrant for such a massive fishing expedition is another question. Not to mention how long it would take to investigate probably half a million vehicles and their owners.

Especially the back part where the rear window is, it looks like there is extra hanging off the side of it. Could be reflection but it does make you wonder.

Good eye. I had missed that.

I live in a big city, every traffic light has a camera. I’m wondering if the area where she was abducted, has any traffic cams. If so, LE could have pulled the images and gotten some really good pic’s. I’m keeping my fingers crossed they find Naomi safe & catch this guy quick.

We have that here too. I live in a suburb in LA County. Every major intersection in town has cameras mounted. Our police dept. has officers that monitor those cameras. Several crimes here have been solved with images captured from those cameras.

I took am hoping that they find this guy soon.

Now I just googled 'footballplayer' and 'butt' (I know that sounds bad). But that's what the upper body reminds me of (not that we have football players).
And I see both black and white males with that kind of posture.
Which made me think if this could be a footballplayer or another athlete with a muscular upper body and a leg injury?

Also it looks like the suspect has something underneath the jacket. Maybe like a crossbody bag?

She had a 1992 car, it's not a big deal. Maybe in the US, but not where I live. If you take good care of a vehicle, it won't break up on you "out of nowhere", generally. Just because she has an "old" car, it doesn't mean it was a piece of junk.

I don't think she was taking the shuttle because of her car, it's literally the smart thing to do. Why drive to work if you have a free ride? If I had to be up at 5, I would take the ride too and just use the ride to work in the shuttle to rest my eyes. She was also saving up on gas.
I think I heard her brother say the older car was also a reason to take the shuttle. But I can't remember which interview.

My oldest son is a high school football player and we are big football fans in general. There is a WIDE range of body types in football, but I do think the body type of the suspect is athletic. It almost reminds me of my husband's body type, he is military. He is also white (mostly Scottish) and has, what I affectionately call, a bubble butt. One of my sons (not the football player) is stick thin, but inherited the bubble butt.

What age range do you think the perp is?

I think 40's.

I think it's a male. Doesn't seem to have a big gut, or slumping shoulders,

I was thinking 20's?

But, could he be in his 40's and recently released from prison? And his build it from weight lifting while incarcerated?

I'm grabbing at straws here, but I remember someone telling me something years ago, it was a certain gait he called, "The prison shuffle".

He worked in law enforcement and said that he could tell when someone had been in prison when he saw this certain walking pattern.

I'd say in shape and in his mid-late 30's. I have a 16 year old son, 36 yr old husband and 58 yr old father, so I am going off them as a reference point. I am also inclined to believe someone of that age range would be more likely to target an 18 yr old girl in this way.

Yes military is still my first bet. Maybe an injured veteran with a leg injury.
Also because of the way he operates. Scanning the environment. Confident.
Aware of the surroundings etc.
Is big trucks a 'military thing' ? :D

Why did they wait 12 days to say they need to find the car that was also at Walmart in the video ? That’s such a long time

Missing Naomi Irion's family believes 'group' may be involved in abduction; possible 'sex trafficking' case

"It really seems like this was maybe a group of people — more than one person. So we have that person on video, but there may be some indication that there might be other people involved, other vehicles involved," Irion's older brother, Casey Valley, told Fox News Digital.

"There was one sexual harassment incident that was taken care of internally at Panasonic to Naomi's satisfaction. And we have no reason to believe at this point that any of that is related to this," Valley said.

I'm thinking they just assumed that person would come forward and contact them. At the same time, I don't see any harm in putting that info out there ASAP..it actually would make more sense to do so, since time is of the essence.

It makes me nervous because it makes me feel like they NEED that person to come forward, as they may not have much to go on at this point. Hope I'm wrong though

We still don't know how the police connected the truck to the suspect.

Early to mid-thirties. Others are seeing an athletic build, I got more of a big ole farm boy sort of vibe. Can throw a lot of bales of hay. If he was a jock, wrestling or football. Athlete gone a bit soft, maybe.

I also associate that type of boot with muddy work. Sort of like Wellie style barn boots. Easy to clean off and sturdy.

All this from a murky CCTV picture, but I have a vivid imagination.
