Surety is a bond. That means he would pay the bail bondsman 10% and the bail bondsman puts up a 125K surety bond on OJ's behalf. He said "total cash or surety", but it was mumbled. What does that mean? Not 10%?
OR he can pay 125k cash
The differnce is he can get the 125K in cash back but he can never get the 10% paid to the bail man back. That is his fee for going on the hook. But the bond must be collateralized by something, or someone needs to sign on OJ's behalf.
