Bumping for Paul.
I will assume that Paul R Mahle has still not been found. I can find no updates or anything on Google that says that Paul or Paul's remains have been found, so am concerned. Is this case being investigated still? I can find no info on that either. How many years has it been since Paul went missing? 3 or more years now? How does a man who is disabled and who relies on his medications, go missing? I am afraid to ask, because I can think of a number of answers, and none of them are good, unfortunately.
It looks like Paul won an amount of money while gambling, and that he has some experience with certain substances. Could Paul have possibly wanted to use some of his winnings to purchase one or more of those substances? Is that when Paul disappeared? I mean, I have to wonder, since it makes the most logical sense. Did the deal go wrong somehow? Did the dealer see that Paul had a large amount of cash and decided to take it for themselves, making Paul disappear in the process? If so, where would that person(s) decide to put Paul's body? Is there somewhere near Reno that is notorious for that?
I think the best course of action would be to re-interview the ex girlfriend and her new bf, that Paul was staying with while in Reno. Maybe the ex knows who the dealer is, if that's what Paul was doing. I would bet that she does. Possibly, she is scared for her own safety, and hasn't opened up about it. It would be good to interview her and her boyfriend again, if in fact they were questioned/interviewed in the first place, since we don't know. I would like to see this one solved soon. Paul has children that need their father, and family that needs to know where he is. Even if it ends up just being his remains, it will be an answer, and Paul's children and family at least deserve that. Someone needs to speak up, methinks.
