Truly a bizarre case, don't think he has a thread.

He was witnessed fanning a fire as the car became engulfed in flames. He made no attempt to exit the vehicle. The registered owner of the vehicle was Darwin LaFord from Vancouver, Washington. Darwin LaFord was not the victim.

I can't find anything but this very short article, no new information.
As far as I can tell, Darwin LaFord is still alive (as of 2022) and quite the car guy. Maybe the vehicle was stolen?
