The Reno Police Department responded to the area of Silverada Blvd. regarding a missing endangered elderly person, Shellie Vickers on Dec. 21.

The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the person found dead in a ravine near Country Estates Drive and I-580 earlier this week.

The medical examiner says 63-year-old Shellie M. Vickers of Reno was pronounced dead at the scene on Jan. 14, Her cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

This is so sad, but I'm glad they have found her. I couldn't find a Country Estates Drive but there is a Country Estates Circle near 580. Where she was last seen was just east of 580 in that general area, with at least one cross street that she could have used to cross 580 westbound. Google Maps
