We know LE has seen the hard drive, the cell phone records and even Stevens library records. We know they have investigated every siting, had a scent dog at the initial scene and canvassed the neighborhood.

If they are not running at every lead and do not think there is evidence of foul play, they must think he walked away from his life. This may give them little incentive to run back and check everyone off the list that they missed in the neighborhood....just a thought.

So the Koechers are taking all of the appropriate steps by hiring someone to make sure everything has been covered.

Yet the initial scent dog did not pick up a scent. If the family is 100% sure that is Steven in the video, then he walked down that street. They needed another dog brought in, because I would be saying, this is ridiculous, he walked there.

I was just reading over the time line and all the Q & A's again. The only thing that keeps poking at my brain that seems suspicious and gnawing at me & sure i'm gonna get some feed back on this one... is the fact of JB's office being with in miles of where SK went missing and the Henderson Airport. JB has a reality office. JB is the only person that we know that SK knew in Las Vegas/Henderson. Just seems too much of a coincidence to me???

But when was the dog brought in? From the news reports we've read, that didn't happen until Dec 30th-31st.

Steven's (last seen?) walking at noon, Dec 13th.
The Koechers didn't know there was a problem until Dec 17th, and arrived in SCA on Dec 18th.

Dec 13th - 30th = 17 days.

Scent dogs missed Chandra Levy in Rock Creek Park, even though they searched for her earlier after her disappearance, than the dogs searched for Steven. I'm not sure I have total faith in scent lingering for as long as we're often told it does. Too many variables.

We don't know if that's the same JB; Naegle didn't even know. It's like a second cousin, removed....and apparently more like Steven's father age.

There's a JB with a realty office on Eastern Blvd, but the phone number of cousin JB leads to a landscaping business.

Sure, why wouldn't somebody say "yes, we had an appt for my windows". This is a retirement community correct? They wouldn't likely be as paranoid of the LE questioning as us on here! Or "yes, but he never showed", etc. 200 houses is not that much to canvas. I don't mean going in and physically clearing houses (that would take warrants and not even be reasonable). I just mean talking to them. Of the homes that were not occupied at the time were they ever checked to see if there was any forced entry?

I can see not everyone being home at the time, but it's been 4 months. There can't have been that many that they would have had to re-check on.

I asked a while back and didn't get a reply. Is that the only place to park? Can you not park in front of a house?

As for the scent dogs. If I understood correctly they were not brought out until 2 weeks after the car was left there correct? This is pushing the limits for most. The majority of groups do not train for trails this old, and a dog from the Vegas desert would be even less likely to have this training because the climate generally is not favorable for being able to run a trail this old. Another dog could have been brought out, but I would not have been surprised that it came to the same conclusion.

Sorry, who is JB?

Yes, he was at the first press conference. I was wondering if he had any listings in SCA at the time of SK's disappearance?

So he IS the realtor with the office on Eastern?

I Googled JB & the address, realitor and came up with the location...when Google with the name...I came across The Salt Lake City Tribune 2/26/10...assuming he is the same JB???

I was going by the Q & A's under the timeline and thought he was the realtor.

Just Googled JB landscaping and came up with the landscaping business...it's the same JB and phone number as the realtor...it's the same JB.

JB is the family representative for this area.

Got links to show what you're seeing? I can't make a connection.

I'm seeing similar names (there's at least three in Vegas), and two different phone numbers.

Here's what I have:

Landscaping (phone number publicized as family's area representative) | Realtor

I'm sorry...I've went back and back again in my google searches for the connection on realtors for JB and landscaping and cannot make the connection on the phone numbers. Don't know where I went wrong? looked in my history also? I'll keep looking.

Do you know if SK knew JB?

I was going by the Q & A's under the timeline and thought he was the realtor.

OK, I found it. We were both a bit "off". Naegle says she thinks he's in realty, but doesn't know if that's his office.

Now you can tell us about your theory.

This is why it's a good idea to post the links here when you find them. Actually, it's required (see HoppyFrog's first post in this thread, where it says "Please remember to post links to backup information in your posts.")

Do you know if SK knew JB?

They knew each other, but weren't thisclose. Steven's family refers to a family get-together in Vegas, about four/five years ago.

In fact, Naegle states that SK hadn't contacted JB, here (where she talks a bit about JB): qa-02 page

Thank you for the advise. It is such a coincidence JB's office being so close if he is the realitor? If he is the landscaper, it would be interesting to know who the landscaper is for the HOA and the golf course?

Thank you for the advise.

About providing a link, when you have information?

It is such a coincidence JB's office being so close if he is the realitor?

OK, I'll provide your link: MAP -- looks like it's over 5 miles from where the car was parked, to the realtor office at 10120 S Eastern Ave.

If he is the landscaper, it would be interesting to know who the landscaper is for the HOA and the golf course?

Hmmm...interesting thought. Maybe you could find out, and let us know?

As far as we know, he could have parked in front of a house if he had wanted to.

Yes, about providing a link when having information, I'm new at this. Remember, I'm just a spectator here...think I've been sucked in???

Ok, I tried to figure out the multi link thing & when I clicked on it, it went red, what am I doing wrong? For now i'll just answer like this...If 5 miles a way from the realtors office, If JB is a realtor, I was wondering if he had any listings in the area or could be showing or knew of any rentals? Or if he is a landscaper, perhaps he could have work in the HOA or golf course?

Last but not least, I sent a email to the PI explaining my theory and hoping he saw logic in it to find out who the landscaper is in the HOA and possibly the golf course. Also info on JB to see if he is a realtor of landscaper.

As far as we know, he could have parked in front of a house if he had wanted to.

Example of a Florida HOA car parking rules....

No cars on the street
No cars on the grass
No cars extending over sidewalk
Cars in garage okay
Cars in driveway okay

If you park in a person's driveway, the car in the garage may be blocked.

Needless to say, I no longer live in an HOA...or in Florida!!

You can't be a spectator. You can't leave now. You have been officially sucked in. Just try to leave! ;)

The "multi-quote" doesn't work for me. I cut/paste the "quote" and "/quote" before/after what I'm quoting. Then, I have to go back and edit it a few times to make it right. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, either.

I don't think we've thought about Steven maybe trying to get a job as a landscaper in that area. See? That's why you're official now.
