Response to OT.....
I think I see in her eyes the reflection of the photographer. Her overall
expression may be how she felt after being a hostage during a bank
robbery. I don't believe anyone gets over that kind of thing quickly and
easily. Maybe she knew she could not put herself back in the same
situation....so she moved on to something safer.

I check everyday to see if there is anything new with Steven. It is so
disappointing....

Does anyone know what happened to Steven. Anyone from St. George?
Any friend or acquaintance? It is more than time to come forward.

=

I started a thread for her. it seems she was possibly romantically involved with the bank robber.

I too wish we knew what happened to Steven.

That's precisely what I thought, when I read the story.
Or maybe I'm just feeling smart because I "called" Storro as a hoax, on Sep 3rd ;)

The hinky meter is clanging towards Cedar City tonight.

Oh no. I hope not.

But I have a bad feeling...

Any up-dates on Cedar City?

Nothing yet.

Maybe this is a good sign; we know Steven's dentals are available, so confirmation shouldn't take long if it's him.

I'm going to exhale for now.

it makes no sense to me how Steven would wind up in a sleeping back near the Cedar City UT airport when he and his car were last seen in SCA, Nevada.

True, but then it doesn't make sense that he disappeared in the first place. He's had enough time to travel the entire country if he wanted to.

It COULD make sense.

Remember: the "homeless campsite" found near SCA - that had been abandoned just before the April search of that area. Men's clothing (Dockers pants, etc) was found there, that Steven's father said was Steven's size. Several SCA residents had previously seen campfires there.

About April, it starts getting hot in Vegas. Time to move on?

Cedar City's a lot cooler than Vegas.

He could have had a traveling job, or gone with the migrant workers.

Yeah...or just bummed around, travelled "off the grid".

This is one of those mixed emotions things:
For the sake of his family, I hope it's not Steven.
But then, someone else's loved one has died.

in order from Steven to get from Henderson to Cedar City he would have had to pass through St. George to get there. if I were on the lam, the last thing I'd want to do is pass by my old hometown.

But webrocket, it's not his old hometown. Hardly anyone there knew him (he'd only been there a few months, and outside of the transient-member singles ward, he doesn't seem to have had much of a social life).

You can easily bypass St George.

So true. I would have spent the summer in CC - if not for that whole having to work thing...

Honestly, it takes about 5 minutes to pass through St. George on I-15 if you just keep going. And I wouldn't really consider Steven being "on the lam." Cedar City makes as much sense as anything else. IMO.

...and if you were walking or thumbing a ride, you'd likely not do so anywhere near where Steven lived, or the wardhouse.

I was thinking he hitched a ride - maybe in a big rig. Remember when fasteddy4 went out to that truck stop checking out the phone pings? It would be so easy. He could have traveled all over the place that way - as do many folks.

Had to read your post twice Fairy1. I thought you were saying he took off with fasteddy4. LOL.

You know they know what the docs provided as far as ID, so maybe just waiting to notify family? Seems if it was someone not known in the area, they would start with calling any known relatives to confirm that person is indeed missing.

Since there was no foul play found, I'm thinking either natural medical problems or some type of self induced drug overdose; unless it was exposure last winter?

The article didn't mention if this is a normal homeless gathering, or if he had been camping out by himself. Seems kinda strange with all the businesses in the area no one would notice the smell of the odor of decompostion tho.

JMO...but I don't think it's Steven.

ETA: I don't think there is any correlation between the 5O some year old guy and SK. Not unless SK was into being a magical male strip dancer or the lover of such. This is what the son was into, along with running a club the father owned. Sorry, SK is not bad looking, but no where near the physic needed to compete in that atomsphere. Talking Chippendale.

Can't find any updates on the CC guy. Anybody else?

Not a thing.
I'm wondering if "the body is in too poor condition to determine whether the ID is accurate" is an understatement.

But like I said, Steven's dentals are readily available (I even have some of them, sent to me cc: due to a UID I asked about a few weeks ago). I'd think they could have easily ID'd Steven, if this were him.
