This is a new comment on the fb page by DS under "New Perspective". It has some interesting words and phrases in it.

Ahh, I can hardly read it! I think he needs to get a "new perspective" on proper punctuation.......

Seems like good enough advice, but I agree with carbuff, this guy doesn't know anything more than the rest of us.

Thanks for informing us RubyRed, it's definitely worth thinking about.

LOL, it was painful to read, wasn't it?

Goodness! No shortage of caps and interesting punctuation, but I think what he's trying to say is that the family and friends need to consider that Steven was involved with something unsavory or illegal--drugs, prostitution, theft etc.

I am a plainspoken person by nature, so it tends to frustrate me when people talk and talk in riddles and drop clues and hints and hope that you'll eventually figure out what they're getting at when they could just come right out and say it!

Having said that, I'm sure he's trying to be helpful, and that's good. We seem to have reached somewhat of a wall right now.

Yes, it seems we have hit a wall. Talking in riddles that is for sure. I just wish he had spit out what he was really trying to say.

Same poster had a comment in the beginning of February....scroll on down to
read a question about cell phones that he posed.

I think a post that appears unusual might have more strength if the poster
knew Steven...like from the Ward, the University, one of the previous jobs.
The name is one of many in Utah and many of those are associated with
the cities we are familiar with....:waitasec:

Yes, a familiar name. You are right if he was closer to Steven it would mean more.

I talked to my daughter today. She lives a few block from where Steven lived in St. George (Bloomington Hills). She was talking to one on Seven's neighbors. He did not know Steven well, but enough to chit chat, say good morning and so on. The fellow had a boat, and they talked about that. He said Steven sounded home sick, talking about the things his family did together.

If you use the timeline to see Steven's house, you can see a neighbor with a boat parked next to the house....of course, not sure that this is the same one.

Makes me sad to think that Steven did not pack up and go home and talk
with his family about where he was - or was not - going in his life.

Thank your daughter for continuing to get the story out. :)

Thanks sbakker. From what we are learning I think he was dealing with a lot of issues.

For crying out loud! Have we completely abandoned any and all effort to use proper grammar and punctuation? Sheesh.

That whole post makes that guy look like a total crackpot!

Singles Ward member from Portland....basically telling the Koecher family that they're closed-minded and haven't prayed hard enough. I find it insulting and demeaning to the family, but in looking at his picture, I think he did his best to help. I think, in his faith, he'd be referred to as "a special spirit".

I would like to know about the communications that occurred on Sunday, December 13th.

Do we know if the communication between GW and SK was verbal or were
they text messaging? Is there a way to know?

Was the communication(s) between SA and SK verbal or were these text messages? Same question as to whether LE can tell or would the cell companies provide the info?

Was SK good at texting and did he prefer to text over regular phone calls?

I guess I would like to know for sure that someone actually heard Steven's voice that Sunday morning - in Las Vegas.

They all sound verbal to me, because there's details. I dunno if anyone would text "do what you have to do" -- or would that be "do wat yu haf 2 do"? ;)

In reading the post on FB, I thought it seemed like a long winded version of the serenity prayer.

The Serenity Prayer
By Reinhold Niebuhr
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
and wisdom to know the difference
Living one day at a time
Enjoying one moment at a time
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.

Hope you're feeling better! Shouldn't be much to catch up on here - we haven't made much progress. :(

We need a new clue!

All I can come up with, are more unidentified findings:

Buckeye AZ

Northern CA (Beer Can Beach plus another in Sacto River)

LOL! I suppose you're right. Too bad he wasn't more specific regarding for exactly what we should be praying.

I haven't seen any evidence about the quality or effort of prayer, but I'm not sure I could disagree with his other conclusion.

No, wait, I didn't say that. I'm a nice person who always gives other people the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure they did their best...

I've had someone from outside of here recently tell me many people have said Steven was gay. Now, I don't know how that could possibly be confirmed, but it certainly supports one of the very first theories ever posted on Steven's case - by webrocket IIRC. And it explains a good many things that we do know about.

It was something several of us wondered about. Gaydar, and all that. Which would certainly give him motivation to go somewhere else.

Ha! I'm a big believer in prayer. But if it worked MY way, I'd be on a cruise or in the south of France right about now!

Was that person UNconnected to us and the speculation?

(ie, if a WSer said that, they may have just read it from previous posts here.)

Yes, and very likely WITH someone else.
