It definitely makes more sense from a mothering point of view that TM ran out of the house to protect the kids rather than she went home and got a kid with a gun to go trolling the neighborhood looking for someone who shot at them without calling 911.
Agreed. If I were the mama in this situation, I would NEVER have my kid in the car even if he had a gun.

I dont believe the ' lets go practice parking in the dark' scenario. But for the life of me I also cant explain why any mom would take her 15 year old daughter with her to buy drugs...

I don't believe the middle of the night driving practice either, not for a second.

BBM It's also unexplainable why any mom would play cat and mouse games with another vehicle and then return home to fetch her son and his gun to show them who's boss. But I believe that's what she did. It's inexplicable to me that a mother would choose to put her child in danger, this part is the hardest for me to understand. I think those of us that are parents can relate to this. This is why I think drugs were involved, this is just not normal behavior.

Maybe because it is much more sympathetic to make her the victim of a random road rage incident. Much better for the kids than if they say they were in a confrontation with the neighborhood dealer over a bad drug deal, and Mom ran outside and got shot in the head because of THEIR violent drama.

One little problem with that theory is that EN didn't claim he shot somebody who run outside.

bob already told the media very loudly "better hope the police get him before i do" i don't think en was ever meant to be arrested but murdered perhaps in retaliation. After the shooting was en being hunted by the remaining meyers?

lol, gmab

It may have been that the lack of disclosure to LE that EN was in the car was to buy time to have EN murdered in retaliation for shooting TM.

Which sounds more like an organized crime/gang/supplier/distributor action rather than just ordinary neighborhood goings-on

It all goes back to: why did the family lie in the first place?

"After the former nurse died, her family tearfully pleaded for information leading to the assailant’s arrest." (With the sketch of the random person the family described to LE):

"Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect they say is approximately 25 years old, six feet tall and 180 pounds." http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/las-vegas-mom-dies-shot-road-rage-case-article-1.2116410

Before you all run away with your "theory" how did mom end up getting shot if she wasn't in the car?
Per EN's story as relayed by his friends, he shot at the person in the car and at someone running away from the car.
He didn't claim somebody came running from the house.

EN was not there when the Buick FIRSt arrived at the house. I am wondering if Mom ran outside when she saw the kids arrive back home, and they are telling her what happened when the silver Audi suddenly came upon the scene. She and her daughter probably both attempted to run inside. Only one of them made it though.

It's not innocent at all. She's a middle aged adult mother, he's a teenager, barely an adult. I never bought the counseling stuff. It sounded like yet another reason given by the M's who are full of explanations that may work in their world, but in the real world they come off as big time lie tellers.

I am sorry she lost her life. You have to wonder about the decisions she made as she opted to immerse herself into the unthinkable world of regularly paying lots of cash for "merchandise" to a teenager in a park.

Another neighbor has stated he did the same for EN

Why would mom run outside in the middle of the night? Why would they be conversing outside when the guy with a gun was after them?

She was shot when she was running BACK to the house. But she probably ran out when the kids first arrived. The Audi was not on the scene when the kids first pulled up/ IIRC

Because Mom gives Brandon an alibi...he was in bed asleep (after a party) and not out in a Buick cruising with a gun. Also elicits sympathy for the family and possibly $20,000 funding from the public sympathy site.

LOL, so you think they thought of the funding site and the rest of it right after their mom had been murdered in front of them?

Um, no.

It was 11:30 at night. I don't know how dark that cul de sac is at night, or specifically that night, but maybe sis ran into the house just as mom ran out? Maybe with all the gunfire EN didn't see mom running out? Maybe mom was already outside -- knowing that son & daughter were out looking for EN, and she was out there waiting for them. They screech up in the green car, mom is already out by the street watching for them, son & mom both yell at sis to book it into the house, son starts firing back, mom gets shot?

Lots of ways that could happen.

Has anyone seen anything official that confirms exactly where mom's body was in relation to the car, the house, the driveway, etc.? I haven't, but I know I've seen conflicting media reports about where mom ended up -- in the yard, in the car, in the street near the car, etc.

Mom was probably waiting for the kids and ran outside when they drove up. She probably knew nothing about the shooting at that point. Then Brandon probably told her to run back inside with KM, but it was too late.

One thing we do know for sure from the warrant: they recovered a lot of bullet casings!
At the Alta & Villa Monterey six (6) expended .45 caliber cartridge
At 7929 Mt Shasta Circle Seven (7) expended .45 caliber cartridge casing, one (1) full metal jacket .45 three (3) 9mm cartridge casings & one unfired 9mm cartridge casing

No one thinks to call 911 after the first 6 bullets were shot at them? No one gets on the phone to call 911 until ater the next 7 are fired & they realize their mom was dead?

After they were shot at the first time, there likely wasn't enough time. They were trying to get away from him. What would you expect calling 911 have done at that point?

Why would she run out when kids arrived?

They could have been calling out for her (audibly) or they may have been in contact with her via cell phone and/or text.

If any of the scenarios being discussed here on the thread currently are true, it would have been logical for her to do so.

Also, if there were other firearms within the home, we don't know whether or not she was armed at the time herself. Her state of mind is unknown, and she certainly could have been in Mama Bear mode.

Phone records of all the M's (including the land line) will help to she light on how this occurred. Again, very much we still don't know.

Yeah, but I am thinking the other neighbor wasn't involved in park business transactions with the teen.

So it could be that BM fired 4 times. Somehow a 4th 9mm bullet is at the scene... Either or dry fired or he may have cocked it not knowing one was already in the chamber and the gun spit it out??
