A post a few hrs ago, in previous thread from Miss Muffet:
"If I was DA's mother, I'd be emptying my retirement fund, cashing stocks and mortgaging the house. She obviously hired that attorney who said he spoke with DA a few times in the previous weeks. He did say he might be appointed to represent him. Perhaps he advised DA's mother to wait and see who is appointed." bbm

Story of my life - hours behind, sorry if already covered.
Has there bn public announcement about ID of atty rep'ing DA? If handy, name, hired or appointed, link? TIA, anyone.

No, but at the arraignment today the judge said that it would be determined who is repping him next Tuesday.

Just saw the newscast. I believe him. He says the texts and contacts were deleted AFTER the news of TM and he realized it was EN. He asked EN to delete his contact information because he didn't want associated with EN. I hope that his talking without a lawyer didn't do him harm.

From the interview:
* Andrews said he did eventually relent and pick up EN afterwards and drove him somewhere because EN said he was stranded
* Andrews said it was his own idea for them to delete each other from contacts once he found out what happened
* Andrews I think in reference to his prior criminal record, said that he's going crazy in solitary where his past prison experience made him not do things to end up back in prison again because he hates prison

deleting, not relevant.

I was waiting for DA to say he did not own an Audi. Never heard it.

So he seems to be admitting he did pick up EN that night by the school, only claims it was after the murder. I wonder why this reporter didn't ask a follow up question as to when exactly DA changed his mind and went to pick EN by the school.

Instead of deleting evidence, Andrews should have gone to the police. JMO.

Bingo.

Apparently the part where he said he didn't do bad stuff so he didn't have to go back to jail was a lie.

Go figure.

I wonder how much time Derrick spent reading on WS to get a story together.

I'm trying to square what he said with what EN said. Per Mogg "At that point they left the area and he said he was dropped off by the driver of the vehicle" and per the complaint via KK, he was picked up by someone who dropped him at KK's from a casino. If by leaving the area means leaving the neighborhood and going to the casino, that would be contradictory to what EN said, but if leaving the area meant leaving the immediate area of Mt Shasta and dropping him off at the park, it wouldn't as Andrews said he picked him up at the park. I do look forward to the GJ testimony, CCTV footage and the actual text of EN's confession as with more detail it should be blatantly obvious whether or not it is possible that Andrews is telling the truth or if evidence shows what he's saying can't be true.

He said EN called for a ride around 11. He said no he was sleeping. There were texts before and after the call. Eventually, he picked EN up at the park later because he felt sorry for EN saying he was stranded and dropped him off somewhere. (He said a strange street name for where he picked him up. I can't remember. It began with a J. Johns? James? Could that mean he picked him up at a different park? I wish we could watch it again!)

We know EN got a ride to the casino afterward the shooting, IIRC, from someone other than the shooter. Then EN's witnesses sent someone to pick him up from the casino to get to their house. A casino is pretty easy to remember, and it's not a place I'd describe as "somewhere."

He has had plenty of time to get his ducks in a row. He wasn't arrested until after the warrant and the GJ transcript were released. So why doesn't what he says match? Does that mean he picked EN up later in the morning after EN left his witnesses' house? I wish he would have been more specific about the time and where.

The reporter said his attorney stopped the interview, but they didn't actually show this or say when the attorney showed up or if the attorney had been there the whole time.

His actions point towards guilt and not innocence in my opinion. Destroying evidence after you know someone was killed is not how an innocent person acts. JMO.

Maybe it's hard to come up with a coherent story if it's not the truth. Police probably tracked his cell phone to see where he was (that would be my guess). So I am also guessing he is trying to say he went to that area but after the murder.

That, of course, would only work if he were not involved in the murder.

It's no hard at all. I can come up with a coherent story right now. "I picked him up around midnight and dropped him off at X casino." Isn't it all in the warrant for him to have figured out ahead of time? The very fact he's not telling a story that exactly matches indicates to me he may betelling the truth. It not matching what we already know---based on testimony of people who aren't really necessarily reliable---isn't proof he's lying.

But I will admit I didn't like how he hesitated right before all of the important pieces of information. The kid was talking smooth and confident and then hesitated when he was saying when and where.

He also said he picked him up at the park. But, I thought EN was dropped off at Santa Fe Station after the shooting. I could be wrong. Maybe he was dropped off at the park after Santa Fe, but what horrible timing
