GUILTY NV - Tammy Meyers, 44, fatally shot at her Las Vegas home, 12 Feb 2015 - #8

Honestly? Deep down? I suspect there's at least some kernel of truth to the knife incident. We haven't heard the whole story; I doubt it was just that there were some little kids there, and out of the blue EN walked up and put a knife to a blind kid's throat. I want the full story, in context.

BM? Yeah, I've seen his FB rants. I'd believe it in a heartbeat about BM. But I'd still want the full story, because I have trouble picturing anybody just walking up to a blind kid and putting a knife to his throat. There's context; there's always context. I want the context.

Yes, I want the details on it as aside from Selig and whoever this is, nobody has accused him of being violent. They've said he was a drug user/seller, but not that he went around assaulting people. I'd find it strange for something like this happen in the middle of the day on a Sunday on a main street right next to a mall where he went up to a group of kids, but if something like that did happen, I'd wonder if the kid was client with unpaid drug debts. I'm trying to visualize it if they're walking or are in the circle or what since it is describe that the boy is with some girls and one of the girls tells EN to let him go so he does that and swears at the girl - did he come from behind?...Did he approach from the front?

2 REASONS: One: It could be a separate incident because the spiky hair guy isn't the one who shot and killed TM and they already got the one who did. Two: I also believe, and I could be wrong, that they were also looking for the driver and maybe the sketch that was made public would have caused the driver to flee, JMO, MOO!!!!!

If KM lied about the spiky hair guy then I would like to hear it from LE's mouth that she actually lied to them and if I'm missing something I want to see it. Do we know for a fact that she lied, did she confess to the lie? For now if the police felt it wasn't necessary to use the sketch anymore and they didn't say the reason, then I can't answer why, I can only go by my own thoughts. Again, I could be wrong...
I want them to produce spiky hair dude OR admit KM lied and explain why she lied.

Nothing in between will be good enough for me.

I'M NOT THE ONE ON TRIAL HERE! LOL
If you stop answering her questions, she'll stop asking them eventually. ;)

Why wouldn't a legally blind kid have his glasses on? AFAIK, eyeglasses are considered cool now. Does he not remember if he was wearing his glasses? The allegations may be completely valid, but that sounds like something you might say in case you may have screwed up the details. JMO

The boy, who is legally blind, may not have been wearing his glasses when the attack occurred, according to a police report.

The victim told police the blade of the knife was against a vein in his neck and Nowsch had his thumb pressed against the top of the blade, according to the report, which documents the following exchange:

“I’m gonna slit your throat, kid,” Nowsch said.

Ever hear of The Travelers? (Or Travellers?) I can't get that idea out of my mind tonight.

I've been trying to visualize how someone with the best eyesight in the world could see the thumb on the blade, unless he is saying he felt the thumb against his neck but didn't actually see it. The only way I could see actually seeing the thumb on the top of the blade is if he was threatened with receiving a Glasgow smile, but nothing around the veins of the neck would be in your field of view unless he's repeating what the girls told him rather than what he saw with his eyes.

I'm not sure what you mean by Travelers. Could you give us a teeny bit more to go on? lol

O/T...Do any of you watch "The Good Wife"? You know the one judge that expects everyone to always say, "In my opinion..." and if they don't, she'll ask if that is their opinion. Every time I read that here, I hear her voice saying that. Lol. Drives me crazy, but I understand it.

"Travelers are a group of people who are nomadic that commit crimes against the elderly and other vulnerable individuals throughout the country by performing very substandard, unlicensed work and charging highly inflated prices," wrote sheriff's Detective Gordon Opitz, a member of the National Association of Bunco Investigators. "These travelers are known to avoid prosecution through various methods including flight."

So.... no thoughts on why the police aren't looking for spiky-haired dude. Okay, that's fine. I just wondered if you had any. It must just be one of those unanswerable mysteries related to this case.

No, certainly you're not the one on trial here. But many times when I've written something that expresses my opinion on what happened, you have asked for explanations of every little detail. I don't think it's out of line to ask you for your thoughts on how and why things happened the way you think they did.

I just told you my thoughts.. sorry, I'm not going there again.

I don't blame you. Your not under any obligation to answer any questions about this case even though you have tried. JMO.

Yes, why is it we get all these weird explanations of things that don't make sense? If someone were holding a knife to my throat, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't know exactly where their thumb was. Also, I'm not legally blind, but I have terrible eyesight. I'm always acutely aware of it if I don't have my glasses on.

And where's the context, for heaven's sake? What were the kids doing just prior? What was EN doing just prior? Did they know each other before that day? Were they friends? Acquaintances? Enemies?

So far every single thing connected to this case has been bizarre. It's very unsettling.

LVMPD can't be enjoying this. They already have enough crime to deal with and (because of recent national media & events), would want to improve public confidence in their agency. Announcing a MANHUNT! (as so many international headlines proclaimed) for a non-existent road raging driver couldn't have helped anything. It just attracted the attention of even more loons to a case with enough already. (Yes, I include me on that list.)

If there is no "justice" in this case, BM can thank himself for his brilliant legal & PR strategery.

My head hurts from trying to wrap my mind around all the cray-cray.

Alice is referring to a photograph of a knife on EN's Instagram. (Easy to find with Google.) The knife in the photo does not have a "black handle" as reported in the article from KVVU's article from yesterday. (Of course, he could own several knives.)

The "thumb on the blade" could have been mentioned by one of the girl witnesses - not necessarily the boy.

I have *some* reservations about all the stories that have suddenly come out about EN being a neighborhood terror though. As someone else has mentioned, there are an awful lot of serious confrontations with him that a.) were not reported to police at the time of the incident. and b.) don't (to my knowledge) have any un-involved witnesses (who aren't kids /adults with questionable credibility) - in spite of occurring in broad daylight. I can't help having a sort of "Boo Radley"/"The Crucible" feeling about it - blame all the things on the outcast/weird guy. There is definitely a slight feeling of a gossip-fence/campfire story exaggeration element to a lot of these rumors and I would love to see more evidence than *just* people's stories. (I'm at the point where I would have a hard time having full confidence in the word of ANYONE who lives in that neighborhood without proof of their integrity/credibility. Truth seems to be a rare commodity all around.)

It's not that I don't believe EN *could* be guilty, but due to the way all of this has been presented through ever changing stories and random hearsay; I just want more concrete evidence than has been available to the public.

Yes, me too.

From the weird driving lesson & road rage story to the vigilante activities of a middle-aged mother of 4 to the close personal relationship between TM and EN to RM's sideshow antics to the shadowy spiky-haired dude who probably doesn't exist to the colorful neighborhood characters. Every new development is an adventure in weirdness. Carl Hiaasen couldn't a write a book about a crime with this much weirdness; his publishers would tell him that even for him, it's too bizarre.

I got the impression from both of the LVMPD press conferences that they were most definitely not enjoying it. Lt. Steiber couldn't have looked and sounded more uncomfortable, and Tomaino seemed pretty unsettled as well.

Not sure if the pic that showed the KNIFE is still on there. (I don't know much about Instagram.)

Convenient, no?

Compare & contrast EN's Instagram with the social media photos & videos posted by another male, including "Fun Gun Reviews Presents: The Beretta PX4 Storm Sub Compact Pistol." (But guess whose bullets allegedly hit anyone/anything? Not the guy who adopted a new "baby" into the family with a silencer due thereafter.)
