Presumed Located NV - Trevor Morse, 30, Las Vegas, 6 May 2007

Well, look at everybody over here now!

Something everyone should remember: If you are looking at a Google Map of the S. Town Center area, it did not look like that in 2007. As I stated over on the Steven thread, there was some construction going on. The exit/entrance ramps to Town Center were being built, that whole area was nothing but a construction zone at that time. Fairy1 lives here as well. She may be able to offer more insight into the situation of that area at the time. It just seems to me that if Trevor started walking SW on Town Center from 3800 S. Town Center he was walking right into a construction zone.

fe4 - I'm sure that leg of the 215 was completed by 2007. Check this out:

Laytonian,
Excellent work here. Great organizing, and I'm going to look further into Matthew Watson Brenton's disappearance. LE had originally told Trevor's father that Trevor was seen to be " wandering around in the desert" after the cabdriver left him. But, Mr.Morse got hold of the store video, and saw something very different. He saw Trevor pacing up and down in front of a store, and then he seemed to see the person he was waiting for, and walked off camera, away from the area of the stores.. I think this is what has given rise to the misconception that Trevor was actually IN the Red Rock Canyon area that Sunday afternoon. He was also described as being "over by Red Rock Canyon, which I suppose technically, he was.
Also, I am fairly positive that I read someplace that those were not the remains of Trevor Morse that were found at Nellis AFB-- don't have a source, but will try to get it.

See - this makes it sound like the taxi dropped him off IN the Red Rock Canyon area. THERE ARE NO SHOPPING CENTERS THERE!!! I would like to know - exactly - where he was left by the taxi. I've seen "3800 block of Town Center," "a popular furniture store," "a shopping center." Where did he get out of that cab? It's important, IMO.

bbm This is the only article I can find,on where Trevor was dropped off at.It is not very specific. I wish we were able to view the video.

He continued normally with his day until 3:00 p.m., when he called a local taxi service and requested a ride to the Red Rock Canyon area. Roughly 30 minutes later, the driver dropped Trevor off in the 3800 block of South Town Center Drive at West Flamingo. The taxi driver later said that Trevor had mentioned he was supposed to meet an acquaintance. Surveillance footage from a nearby shopping center showed Trevor pacing outside the building, but he eventually walked southwest, out of the camera's view, and disappeared. He has not been seen or heard from since.

I don't think it has been said exactly which place of business caught him on camera.
That would be helpful to have that information.

It doesn't look to me like "South Town Center Drive at West Flamingo" and "the 3800 block of South Town Center Drive" are the same location. West Flamingo and STC Dr. meet quite a bit south of Route 215 -- half a mile, according to Google.

The RC Willey Home Furnishings store is right in the middle, so if that's where he was dropped off, I can see referring to it either way. But the actual intersection really is out in the middle of nowhere, still. Looks like current construction going on. I think I see what the locals are talking about...unless he was buying furniture, it seems like a strange place to meet a friend.

The police have Trevor listed as a voluntary missing person. After reading all of the info , I do not feel that is the case at all.

Looking at the link you provided he disappeared ON his 30th birthday.

Wonder if he went to "celebrate" and maybe something went wrong, like an overdose. I say that only because there was some suggestion by LE that he may have used drugs.

I can't go to page 2 for some reason - but I did see where his dad states that the girl Trevor was seeing was/is a known meth user. Yikes.

Fairy1, the link took you to page 2. Sorry about that, Go to page 1 to read the question. Yes, it does say the girlfriend used meth . Maybe he intercepted a drug deal , that she was going to do. Could that be why he had a gun? What do you think?

According to this article Trevor was born on October 20,1976. He disappeared on Sunday May 6,2007, I have seen inconsistencies in the reporting. It really is a shame because facts are extremely important, when someone goes missing.

http://investigation.discovery.com/blogs/criminal-report/missing-person/trevor_morse.html

According to a reliable source of ancestry data, Trevor Paul Morse was born on October 20, 1976 in El Paso County, Texas.

So we can all disregard my birthday party "celebration" idea.

I do think it puts a different spin on this case. He may have been trying to intercept a deal, but just the fact that his gf was into meth could have exposed him to some shady people. I wonder how extensively she was questioned?

But why didn't he take his own car? :waitasec: If he felt he needed a gun when meeting up with whoever he was meeting up with, why would he leave himself without an escape plan? No phone, no wallet, no car. Makes no sense.

Did not realize the girlfriend was into meth. If that is the case then what I said in post #54 is where I am leaning, i.e. a drug deal gone bad.

I was going to say drugs as well. He looks so young in some of those pictures but then you see him in that picture with the mustache and he looks like he is 50! And he looks like he put on weight as well.

Fairy1, looked at that link. I am sure all of that info is true. But, how they built the 215 was that they built it the whole way with stoplights at Trop., Flam,, etc. But then they went back and put in the overpasses so the 215 could be a real highway, getting rid of the stoplights and intersections in the process. That was the phase they were in right around 2007. For example, it says the interchanges for Far Hills and Summerlin were completed in late 2009. True, but the exits have been there since the 215 opened.

And I believe that exact same kind of construction was going on in 2006/2007 around the Town Center area.

How did the taxi driver know Trevor was going to meet someone? Did the driver ask him what he was doing in the midst of small talk? Did Trevor volunteer the information? What did he say exactly? Just "I'm going to meet someone"?
Leaving his cell phone, wallet, car behind yet presumably taking a gun and going to meet someone and appearing 'excited' about it indicates to me that he was on his way to pull off some kind of 'job' etc. He would perhaps leave his cell phone and wallet behind to prevent whomever he was meeting from having any opportunity to find out his identity. I assume that when people pull off robberies/burglaries/heists/etc in groups they often don't tell the others their real name or where they're from for safety reasons, as well as to avoid being 'ratted out' in the event that one of their 'partners in crime' gets busted. It sounds to me like Trevor was about to meet up with others he probably had just met or been hooked up with to make a little (or a lot) of extra money through some kind of illegal means, and something went terribly wrong. I don't think Trevor is with us anymore, sadly. JMO.
