Based on dental records Gordon Thomas Page, Jr. will be a rule out as well.

lcsodetectives & mmarty,

Can you clarify that any missing persons with dental records in the system can be ruled out since you said that your search against the database didn't identify anyone? Or was the search you did for DNA only?

I was on the fence about Page many times for being autistic, but ultimately ruled him out because he does have dental records in NamUs. As a result, I assumed your dental/DNA search would have identified him if he was a match.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/830/0/

Should we only be identifying missing persons who do not have dental and DNA in the database? Or do I misunderstand why your search with dental records and DNA didn't result in any matches?

Please forgive for stopping the flow of great information . . . .

I just wanted to acknowledge 2 NV LEO's working on Easter Sunday night on a cold case! Woo Hoo! Thank you for your service, your dedication and your passion! I hope WS'rs are able to help you both solve this mystery and be able to bring some closure to loved ones.

Please keep the possibles coming in. We have searched NaMUS and other locations, but until we hand search and verify the dental records we can't rule them out (which it appears my partner and I are doing at the same time right now). We greatly appreciate any suggestions and it is quick for us to be able to rule out subjects who have obvious dental work that is not a match for our subject. We've also learned through this that familial DNA has to be requested for comparison and isn't just done automatically, so our guy's DNA could be in the system, we just need to know where it is and who to check it against. Dental charting is the same, in a sense, and unless the records are queried at the specific time, we may not get a match. Does that answer your question?

My last suggestion:

Yes, thank you very much. I have more leads that I ruled out based on having dental and DNA. I'll compile that list tomorrow. I'm glad to hear it's not difficult or time consuming for you to check the dental records.

This looks like a very good comparison (pic in link vs. post #103 pic of reconstruction)
The height is very good too. I noticed the pants found with the UID were 32 x 36 indicating this person had very long legs as that is a long inseam (unless they were rolled up or hemmed up)

Curtis Jones is a subject we have requested a DNA comparison for with our subject. This could takes months, but he is on our radar.

Miss Muffet,
As my partner posted, please keep the suggestions coming regardless of whether or not DNA or dentals are, or are not, available! Some cases are very easy to rule out, such as that of Richard Ashley, who was missing teeth which were obviously present in John Doe. Others can take months depending on what records are available and where. Dental records can be relatively quick. DNA can take many months.

I hope WS'rs are able to help you both solve this mystery and be able to bring some closure to loved ones.

That's what it's all about! This site and all it's members are a great resource. We appreciate all the help!

I have an idea about the tee-shirt.

There's enough of the design to recreate the eagle and sun drawing.

If facial recognition software won't compare the drawing, which it may, I'll bet there is some type of software that can match a drawing of the tee-shirt design to images on the internet.

I'm call my city's museum tomorrow to find out if such a software exists.

They are very long legs. My son is over 6' tall, and he wears 34" length. He has long legs and a long torso. My son's slender build is why I ruled out overweight missing persons. 32 x 36 is thinner than my son because he wears 32 x 34 and is very slender at 150 lbs.

TxJan1971,

Wow! Those documents are very well put together. Very clean and easy to read!

You asked about the blue jeans actually being blue and not black. Yes, the jeans are actually blue.

Thanks for your kind words! As we continue to try to help identify this gentleman, if I "thank" a post of yours or another verified LE, that means I have read your post, I immediately deleted the document in dropbox, updated it according to your response/clarification/edit, then re-loaded it back to Dropbox as the most recent version. That way the most updated version will always be available in dropbox.

If I haven't thanked one of your posts that provides an update or edit, I may have missed or overlooked it and may need a "gentle reminder to update the master documents!"

The reason I asked about the "black" vs blue jeans clarification is that I believe one of the potential matches was last seen wearing "BLACK" Levis. Both the potential and the unid were wearing LEVIS, but the color doesn't match up now. I'll go check and just note it accordingly. That person wearing black Levis may have already been ruled out on another specific, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll just go back now and update it.

It's so nice to have someone answer the questions in such a timely manner! Makes it so much easier to compile/track everything from this end. Thanks to everyone contributing here!

Thanks, I already forwarded my PM's to her.

I just want to clarify for others my reasoning with these. The makeshift campsite inspired me to search for missing persons who may have left home at a young age, up to a decade earlier. My thinking is those people sometimes leave their families purposely and head out to the west coast to find themselves, start a new life, and their families never hear from them again. As a result, they could have been "missing" from their families perspectives many years prior to their actual deaths.
