I'd frame one! Unfortunately, it seems like they'll be difficult to find because they're rare.

Okay. I'm going to bed. I can't stay awake for the detectives to wake up. How dare they sleep! I jest, of course. But they might fear going to sleep after this because we've clearly demonstrated that we're a runaway train that can't be held back.

LOL They have likely been at work since 7:00am doing their regular job and will be on at lunch for this since they don't eat and don't sleep!

I met Jim Kitson once, many years ago, at an art show. His sculptures were phenomenal.

WOW! That's awesome! You never thought you would be searching his art for an important project I bet!
So,,, you didn't get a T-shirt...

The guy who owns a place called TentLabs has done work for Mark Pack Works. He's been in the business since 976. I'm not going to post his name or number but he might be somebody LE could talk to to see if he knows more about the hawk design.

This is their regular job. But they are diligent and here at all hours, that's for sure. I was just making a joke because I think they'll be blown away by what we accomplished basically overnight.

It was interesting to learn these products are expensive.

I'd also like to point out that the artwork being dated 1975 does not mean the backpack was necessarily manufactured and sold in the 70s. The artist's work might not have been replicated by Mark Pack Works until a decade later.

Maybe message mmarty. I think they prefer that.

Yes the 3rd shift did great work! I would have nominated you but I can't pick just 1 post from all your awesome work!

I just received an email from my vintage guy in the region. I had sent him an update with a thank you note. In the information he provided me about the company, he said Mark Pack Works also manufactured ski clothes. The backpacks and clothing were expensive and sold mail order and at ski shops.

Ski Shops! I wonder if they also made the "Heavenly" hats?

That is a good point! I was thinking more along the lines of our guy bought the items at a ski shop.

Well duh. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

yeah, when I PM him direct I get a reply pronto. When posting suggestions here I get no feedback. Understandable since it's a huge thread full of so much info. I got a reply on my first submission within an hour. Honestly, I didn't expect a reply at all either to PM or in the thread - I'm not doing this for recognition, just to be helpful (as I know we all are).

I am wondering if there is some flea market connection to the shirt and the hat and the artist and the UID.

Lake Tahoe does have a flea market.

A lot of artist start selling their products this way ,and often venders will trade their items from another venders items.

Some venders used to travel from flea market to flea market during different times of the year and an old supply of a screen printers overstock is exactly the kind of stuff to end up in a flea market.

You've only had 3 hours sleep yourself!

btw, I did the calculations for the wingspan for you and posted it somewhere in this thread.

If I recall correctly, it's 14"-15"

Yes I did see that. Ya want me to make a different shirt or should the actual forensic professionals do that ? HAHA

Or we could find one! Maybe Craigs list "wanted vintage T-shirt with this image"

Now that we all have the "bird flu" from Red Tail's we can refocus our efforts on Red Tall's (missing persons).

Some venders used to travel from flea market to flea market during different times of the year and an old supply of a screen printers overstock is exactly the kind of stuff to end up in a flea market.
Since our artist was picked up by at least one manufacturing company that we know of, I'm wondering if he needed to be at flea markets.

Yes I did see that. Ya want me to make a different shirt or should the actual forensic professionals do that ? HAHA

Or we could find one! Maybe Craigs list "wanted vintage T-shirt with this image"
Thank you for making me laugh! Wouldn't it be awesome if we could find THE T-SHIRT?

Now that we all have the "bird flu" from Red Tail's we can refocus our efforts on Red Tall's (missing persons).
That's a good one! You guys might succeed at keeping me awake with all this wit!

Throwing another angle out - The Arizona Renaissance Festival is held late winter to mid spring. It opened in 1989. It is held at a permanent site that is roughly 1 hour away from where the remains were found.

The fairgrounds feature a 13-stage theater, a 30-acre (120,000 m2) circus, regularly scheduled jousting tournaments and a feast. [1] Also provided is the Artisan Marketplace, an outdoor arts and crafts market located throughout the park in which merchants from around the nation sell many different kinds of hand-made or period-themed goods.
