That really is an odd coincidence, isn't it?

I agree w/ Carl that these are not the same cases. The article on Dana Talucci refers to Sierra County authorities, but West Reno John Doe is being investigated by Washoe County authorities. Sierra County is in CA and Washoe County is in NV.

I live in Reno just a couple of miles from Mayberry Dr and Plateau Rd, there is a nice park there, and a definite desert landscape. I visited Crystal Peak once as a kid and, despite it not being that far away, it's a sort of pine forest. It's a unique place. People go there with shovels to dig up quartz crystals.
