I live in Vegas. Just watched local news coverage that they finally caught the guy; the devil in disguise. I'm speechless .. And sobbing for this whole family.

I'm so thankful there has been an arrest. I hope Mr. Martinez is going to be okay. His boys need his now more than ever. It sounds like he is in pretty bad shape, so praying for his recovery.

What a frightening looking creature. That's what he is, a monster.

Even with a claw hammer *shudder* how did he get the best of the father who is a boxer? Did he suprise attack him? Why were the boys spared? Was this random?

I have so many questions. I pray this father recovers for his boys and I'm so glad this monster if locked up.
 
I didn't like where my thoughts were heading on this case, and I'm so very glad to have been completely wrong.

It sounds like LE has some solid evidence on this guy they've arrested, and I really hope he's convicted and never gets out of prison. This crime was just so horrible. I'll never understand how some people can do things like this.

A smiling devil.

Speechless is right. There is no explanation outside of the supernatural realm for this kind of evil.
 
I just don't get it. Did this guy just get up that morning and think "well, I think I will go on a rampage today?" I mean first he chases a woman into the desert and "sexually assaults" her. Then he goes down the street and enters a home, beats and rapes, then kills the ones he raped. I just don't get it! And it wasn't like he knew them. It wasn't like he had something personal against them (that wouldn't have excused it, but maybe could put it into some perspective.) It wasn't even like he was a pedophile, as he raped the mother too. I just don't understand.

And maybe that is the point. Maybe we aren't supposed to understand evil.

ITA. The randomness is so frightening. It's like something made this monster snap.

I truly believe there would have been many more victims had LE not solved this so quickly.
 
LAS VEGAS -- An arrest report is revealing more details about the murder of a mother and her young daughter by a 22-year-old man. Police say evidence shows that Bryan Clay raped the woman and her 10-year-old. He is also accused of raping another woman earlier in the day.

Bryan Clay was arrested on Friday at his mother's home. According to the arrest report, Clay told police he drank some, "dark liquor," took some "Transformers" (Ecstasy or MDMA), smoked some "Sherm" (Sherman cigarettes dipped in PCP, and then fell asleep. Clay told police, he did not remember anything that happened on the night of Saturday, April 14.

Voluntarily getting your self blotto doesn't give you an insanity defense, although this pig probably thinks it does.

LAS VEGAS -- The man accused of brutally murdering a mother and her daughter appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Tuesday on a separate case involving his teenage girlfriend.

Bryan Clay is facing domestic battery charges for allegedly beating up his 16-year-old pregnant girlfriend.

Extent of injuries revealed for man whose wife, daughter were slain

There were times when Gaudia Martinez-Seal was unsure if her brother would pull through.

Arturo Martinez, 39, survived a brutal random attack last month at his central valley home, but his wife and daughter did not.

He suffered repeated blows to his head with a claw hammer in the April 15 assault, resulting in at least 17 fractures to his skull. He had more than three dozen staples inserted in his head, Martinez-Seal said.

Las Vegas police couldn't speak to him during their initial investigation because his condition was so dire.
