Mother wakes up to discover daughter's bloody body inside the front of the family home in New York | Daily Mail Online

"A mom discovered her young daughter's bloody body outside the front door of their suburban New York City home - with the victim's sister convinced she was murdered.

Alexandria Castano was found dead at her home, a large Mount Vernon house which has been split into apartments, after police received a call alerting them to an unresponsive female at the front vestibule of the home at 165 Summit Avenue.

Alexandria's mother, Lucia, said that she and her daughter were cooking dinner together when Alex abruptly left the house around 8 pm.

Lucia received a text about 30 minutes later saying that Alex was heading home. After that, Alex stopped replying to her mom's calls and text. "

What Happened to Alexandra? NY Cops Seek Help Unraveling Mystery of NY Woman's Death.
There were no signs of assault or trauma on the body of a 24-year-old woman who was found in the front vestibule of a multi-family home in Mount Vernon earlier this week, officials said Thursday.

Toxicology reports are still pending on the body identified as Alexandra Castano. Even as police learn more about her, they still are stumped for answers -- and are asking anyone who may have talked with her in the days before she died for help.

Cops responding to a call about an unresponsive woman at a Summit Avenue home in the Westchester County city around 7 a.m. Tuesday found Castano dead at the scene. They checked for a pulse but "quickly determined" she had passed away.

When exactly Castano may have died, though, isn't clear. Neither is the "how." I'm confused. In one article it stated that her body was bloody but in the above article it states no signs of assault or trauma on the body. So her body was just covered in blood?

I’m from the area, I live a couple blocks away, the way that she was was found was kind of strange, considering Mount Vernon is a small town.
