It was 1985 so no cellphones (as we would recognize them today). Answering machines were available but Beverly and her husband may not have had one yet. My parents didn't get one till like the early 90s.

My point is if Beverly realized her mixup after she got to the Miami airport, and her husband wasn't home, there was no way for her to tell him. Even if she called other family members, they would have no way of reaching him either.

So maybe she figured she'd just get a cab from LaGuardia. Is it possible she hailed the wrong one and the driver abducted and harmed her? Sunset here in New York in December is around 4:30pm, increasing the chances for this not to have been witnessed.

who did she go with? It was confirmed she got on the return flight?

That's what I'm wondering as well. For that matter, is it known whether "subject" actually flew to Miami, or even made it to departures in JFK in the first place? Maybe it's only thought she had a ticket. DID she have a ticket? If there is not further information from the husband somewhere, it looks like he's due some questions.

Incidentally, her headshot outfit looks flight attendant-ish.

Oh wow good catch!

Looking up flight attendant uniforms from the 1980s, I found these potential matches: from American Airlines and from Delta (relevant photos attached below). For the latter, there's even one photo from inside the cockpit that makes me wonder if Beverly was also posing in front of cockpit controls.

Beverly's scarf, which is what I focused on, appears to be navy (or dark) blue and gold, though I don't know what airline used those specific colors back then.

The thing with this theory, though, is if Beverly was a flight attendant, surely then more information like her airline, route, and schedule would be available. However, if she was returning home off duty, would the airline have recorded that?

It's entirely possible she was a flight attendant at one time, and the picture used was an old one. But if she was one, she was either off duty, not flying her own airline (but there is usually still reciprocity), or there are major plot holes in this case. Maybe she flew with Pan Am or some other now defunct airline so her logs are gone. I don't know if unions get that specific to have records, and passenger lists weren't as they are post 9/11.

She could have been an airport desk agent as well, with the same 'perks,' but non-tracking of her actual schedule as would exist if she was actively working on board. Flying standby is quite common for employees and it wouldn't be uncommon (or panic-inducing) if she were to fly into LGA instead of JFK.

Just statistically, I see this as something happened to her before she left (if she left) or after she returned. And as always, it'd sure be helpful to know what's being withheld from the public.

Do we know if Beverly ever made it to Miami?
Just tossing this out there..could Beverly have staged her own disappearance? Telling her husband one airport, when she was actually arriving at another...

I wonder if she had another flight upon landing in Miami? There are a few cases where folks went missing around Miami in the 1980s and drug running was a strong possibility. Maybe that is a similar case here? Maybe she needed some extra cash?

She was in a unique position to bypass certain tsa checkpoints. Funny nothing is mentioned about who she was going to visit or why.

I submitted an unclaimed person found in the Bronx New York in 2020 to the New York state medical examiner for possible comparison to Beverly white. The unclaimed person was named Beverly White (listed on Namus). Not sure if its the same person or not but the location adds up.
