So, for Barr, this is an internal investigation. Barr needs to figure out why the people who work for him may have made mistakes. For a minute, there, it sounded like Barr thought this was someone else's fault.
That's been the most confusing part of the last 24 hrs - that none of the finger pointing is being directed at the people who were in charge of protecting Epstein - the US DOJ of the Trump Administration. The Epstein case was a high priority for Barr, yet some big mistakes were made.
JMO, there are multiple conflicts of interest involved here. Can the public trust them to do an honest, open investigation?
ETA: It also appears to be accurate that no one has ever "committed suicide" at that facility before Epstein.
