"Hollywood is running closing credits on publicist Peggy Siegal, citing her ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein...

Siegal’s access-providing efforts mostly occurred after Epstein got out of the Palm Beach County jail in 2009, after having served 13 months for soliciting prostitution from a minor....

Siegal has claimed ignorance of Epstein’s past."

To last sentence: sure, Jan.

Interesting. Is this GM filling the motion or someone else? I can't tell.

It’s someone else
I think it’s Dershowitz but I’m not sure

Epstein is appealing bail denial
The weekend's heat wave in NYC likely was very uncomfortable in the cells at MCC.

Author James Patterson on Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Unbelievable’ Crimes
Interview with James Patterson. Author of Filthy Rich.

What about the true source of Epstein’s income? Any theories on that?

"[Leslie] Wexner, or people next to Wexner — that’s where people have to dig. They’ve got to go out to Ohio. I’m sure somebody out there will be willing to talk. [Editor’s note: Wexner is the billionaire founder of L Brands and was the only known client of Epstein’s money-management firm until he cut ties with him in 2008.]"

"It’s a strange relationship. Buying houses together out there in Ohio and whatever the situation was when they bought the house in New York City together. [Editor’s note: Epstein lived part-time in Wexner’s Manhattan mansion since at least 1996. In 2001, the property was transferred to Epstein for $0. Epstein signed the documents for both parties.]"

I have been reading some high end home design magazines that feature fabulous homes of the wealthy.

With the Epstein scandal and the college entrance scandal, I no longer look at these homes with awe. Rather I wonder what kind of weird stuff goes on in these neighborhoods.

I looked at a high end travel magazine . Pictures of the fabulous resorts and homes. Once again, it creeped me out

Here's a link:

Jeffrey Epstein appeals decision to deny bail in sex trafficking case - Reuters

(No real info there, btw, just a statement that he is appealing. But thought we should have a link.)

I’m not surprised. Appealing is probably standard procedure. I’m so glad Judge Berman’s decision cited so many other cases as precedent and went into detail on all the reasons he denied bail. It will be tough for the defense attorneys to argue to the next judge that he is not a flight risk or a danger to others.

I'm thinking he's appealing just for the chance to be an air-conditioned court room. :)

Whatever the case, I think we can be confident he's not getting bail. imo

She just lost a LOT of money! These companies wasted no time ditching her. I know they’re protecting their image, but they’re not wasting time giving her the benefit of the doubt. I don’t think they believe her either.

The publicist — a potent weapon for decades in stirring up favorable Oscar and Emmy buzz — was axed by Netflix as a consultant for its Emmy strategy and as an event planner for screenings and promotions, Variety said.

FX also stripped Siegal’s company of its assignment for promotional duties and tastemaker events, the trade pub continued.

A third assignment taken from Siegal was tied to the Aug. 12 New York premiere of Annapurna’s “Where’d You Go, Bernadette.”

Her assignment for the movie premier August 12 couldn’t have been huge or it would be very difficult to replace her before August 12.

Deutsch bank this year filed a suspicious activity report alerting the government to potentially illegal activity in the accounts of Jeffrey Epstein, who was moving money outside US, sources tell me and https://mobile.twitter.com/davidenrich
The bank has an internal investigation into the Epstein relationship. Execs are struggling to determine its full extent. Epstein had several dozen DB accounts, and some were doing transactions as of late spring. "We're still trying to get our arms around it," a source says.
Bank says it is also cooperating with prosecutors.

Model-turned-pilot Nadia Marcinko, an alleged accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, is among a group of girls who came to the Epstein syndicate—presumably by plane—from abroad.
The Twisted Flight Paths of 'Global Girl' and the Lolita Express
The JE story has so many awful legs to it. Good article. Brings up the lack of monitoring the "corporate jet set" and its connection to human trafficking.

Having lived in a border state for many years, never occurred to me the possibility that the corporate jet set could have so much in common with our coyotes.

“Her (Marcinko) story also suggests a possible connection between the indentured girls who say they were brutalized by the Epstein syndicate and a part of the global transportation infrastructure of human trafficking. If Epstein’s arrest really does lead to a sustained effort to break the back of international sex-slave trade, governments should monitor more closely the use of Gulfstreams and Boeings to oligarchs and their cutouts. They are also going to have to crack down on planes full of human “cargo,” complicit private airports, and the extensive brutality, inhumanity, and complicity of some in this corporate jet set.”

TrafficKing: The Jeffrey Epstein Case by Conchita Sarnoff.

TrafficKing is the first non fiction account of the Jeffrey E. Epstein story. The longest running human trafficking case in U.S. legal history. A story of greed, money, ambition and power. TrafficKing yanks back the curtain on an underworld where children pay the ultimate price as victims. The story explores the darkest recesses of the corridors of power, from Harvard to the White House. Conchita Sarnoff, an investigative journalist, who despite bribes to stay silent, risked her life to expose the brutal reality of human trafficking and the Jeffrey E. Epstein case. Epstein, at the center of the saga, is a pedophile billionaire and Wall Street hedge fund manager and registered level-3 sex offender. It is a child sex trafficking story of epic proportions and the longest running human trafficking case in U.S. legal history; more poignant than the Lewinsky Scandal, Watergate Scandal and Profumo Affair combined. His team of attorneys included: Alan Dershowitz, Kenneth Starr, Roy Black and Gerald Lefcourt. HRH Prince Andrew, former President Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz and others were implicated in the case. A decade after Epstein’s arrest, Virginia Roberts Giuffre vs. Ghislaine Maxwell is pending, along with two more related cases. It’s a tug of war between lust and power and decency and human rights. Jeffrey Epstein is highly narcissistic and likely a malignant narcissist. I would say most likely a narcissistic psychopath.

Joran, Casey and Psychopathic Narcissism: A Forensic Commentary

That puts Jeffrey Epstein in the same class as Jerry Sandusky, Larry Nassar, Jimmy Savile, Jodi Arias, Michelle Carter, Lori Drew, Eric Harris, Stephen Paddock, and Osama bin Laden.
