I don't know when Melinda French Gates made her comments, if it was while Epstein was alive or not, but if it was about saying something negative about him while he was alive, I wouldn't say that could not have had negative results for her.Melinda was very clear that she found Epstein horrible. I appreciate that, but as a woman of extreme wealth who wasn't in a vulnerable position, I do wish there had been a way for her to expose more. Perhaps she did behind the scenes, I don't know.
I am not faulting Melinda for anything and appreciate her careful words here, but wish the blunt and clear truth could be told instead of tangles of cryptic hints. "He was abhorrent" doesn't mean much, really.

You can take for example what happened when Finnish Linda Lampenius, (known as Linda Brava in the US), made a comment about Peter Nygård's behaviour in a Finnish newspaper. Nygård was probably one of Epstein's cronies, with a similar attitude when it came to young women. There's thread about him on WS.
This is what happened to Linda Lampenius, being sued for defamation.
Sanoma to repay violinist over apology to fashion tycoon who was later convicted as a sex offender
In 2001, Linda Lampenius was forced to buy an advertisement in Ilta-Sanomat to persuade the millionaire Peter Nygård, now a convicted sex offender, to drop his defamation claims.
