This case was updated in Namus this week, there is no visible ruleout list but I hope it's being worked on!
Interesting that Namus says COD is unknown - media report below says she was shot in the head.

A version of this article appears in print on Oct. 6, 1991, Section 1, Page 39 of the National edition with the headline: METRO DATELINES; Woman's Body Found in Plastic Bag
The body of a woman stuffed into a plastic bag was found off an exit of the Pelham Parkway in the Bronx yesterday afternoon -- not far from where the body of a man was found tied to a fire hydrant on the Hutchinson River Parkway on Friday night, the police said.
A police spokeswoman, Sgt. Mary Wrensen, said not enough was known about the two killings to establish any link between them.
The body of the woman, believed to be in her late 20's, was found at 12:25 P.M., off the Bronx Park East exit of the northbound side of the Pelham Parkway, a busy thoroughfare in the Morris Park-Pelham Bay section.
She had been shot once in the head, a police spokeswoman, Sgt. Tina Mohrmann, said.
The body of the man, also believed to be in his 20's, was found shortly after 11 P.M. Friday night on the Hutchinson River Parkway near Mayflower Avenue and 196th Street, in the Pelham Bay section, said Sergeant Mohrmann. He had been shot several times and tied by the neck to a hydrant.
The
police described both victims as Hispanic; neither has been identified.
