Tillie brought it in. Tillie asked Palmer NOT to put that beef through the scanner. So, Palmer says he then said, 'Anything wrong with this meat, Til'?' (HELLO - it was shaped like a hacksaw, wrapped in duct tape, frozen solid.... ANYTHING WRONG????????????????) and Tillie giggled a feminine giggle, tickled Palmer and said, "P. (I like to think that Tillie Called Palmer "P" :-) -- Just go eat your donut.

Do we know if Tillie wore spike high heels to work? Nylons? Short dresses? Seductive perfume?

eww the visual lol

With the holiday weekend coming in the U.S. I wonder how many others will discover their cabins have been broken into? Not sure why I am interested but wonder how that parting of the ways conversation went between the two LOL Especially since Matt had the gun and Sweat had no weapon. Matt became the liability. The most likely to get caught and Sweat had a chance. Just pondering.

I'm confused, I believe sweat is stating that he and Matt were going to kill Tilie's husband by backtracking to their home after escape? then why is Tillie claiming she was supposed to give him pills?

Wait... CNN just showed the photo from the trial cam saying it was them. I thought earlier it was said it was two guys checking on their cabins not M&S?

Btw.. Hello all been following this thread from the start. Just never posted anythin. Because when I go to say something, someone beats me to it LOL!

I saw that too. Wolf Blizner put the photo up and asked the Franklin county sheriff how much or how little the photo helped investigators. He said he wasn't involved in that part of the investigation, but figured it helped them.

Now, Wolf said the photo was taken on June 24th. If Sweat is telling the truth in that they separated 5 days before he was captured, that would mean they went their own way the day before that photo was taken (unless he said 5 days ago from today, which would mean they separated on the 24th..the day it was snapped). But another problem with the photo is what the man presumed to be Matt is wearing.

If it wasn't them, it's odd that a network like CNN would not know that by now. So I don't know what to make of this....was it them, or not??

Yeah. I posted that same question. I wonder if there was a conversation or he took what he wanted and split. Sweat had maps. I wonder if that stuff was divided or taken when Matt was sleeping.

Glad I was finally able to get caught up. We had a Wedding Saturday and just as I was checking in here Sunday we had a huge power outtage and no Internet for hours. So very pleased they both are caught and no innocent or LE was injured or worse. Wow between the rain and the pepper no wonder the dogs had difficulty. Poor doggies!!!!

NO WAY. Such nonsense would NEVER EVER happen here in Minnesota - and I've spent hours upon hours in the exterior areas of jails and prisons fyi. IMO, if you look at the camera and the reporter, IMO, the delivery person blabbed about his 'deliveries' and got a big handful of Green$ to let that reporter know when he was making his next delivery - that delivery wound up on camera entirely on purpose. The only reason that the camera did not follow the bag/package all the way up the rope to the guard on the top was that that would make the whole planned set-up too obvious. And, I bet fox-whatever station was the lucky one to get that story also liked that it would make for a 'Where's Waldo' event - you know, have the home viewers who were having their normal nightly bottle of aged grape gin & pop tarts with a little splash of bug spray, minding their own business, suddenly LEAP UP and say 'I SPOT WALDO - THERE'S WALDO' - call the FBI to get an investigation started at the CCC ('Clinton Country Club') !!

Earlier this month a prisoner (Patrick James Buswell) escaped from Stillwater Correctional Facility in Minnesota, he just walked right out of the prison in broad daylight! Mistakes happen everywhere. (http://www.fox21online.com/news/local-news/Stillwater-Prison-Escapee-Caught/33629988)

Also, I highly doubt that it's just "business as usual" at Clinton right now - if hoisting lunch were something abnormal, it wouldn't be happening at this time, not with the spotlight they're operating under. I think the simplest explanation is likely correct: it's difficult or cumbersome to get lunch from the tower, so they use a hoist system.

Apparently Tillie and Lyle never went anywhere or most anywhere without each other. Tillie was to give him the pills so he would be out cold to partake in the great escape.

Exactly!

IMO the part of killing Lyle was just not part of their plan. I think they got Tillie to agree to it which cemented the deal for them she was all in. No going back without admitting her part. I think they would have taken off with her. Killed her and ditched her car. Not sure how they planned to travel from there. I think the study of cabins etc prior was just in case something failed or could it have been a plan until they had Tillie where they wanted her???

I just can still not get past that these guys were on the honor block.. That just floors me.

"Reporter Keshia Clukey of the Albany Times Union was impressed to see the Daily News’ ‘trail cam’ photo during her coverage of the manhunt. The website caption below the picture stated, “This image, captured by a ‘trail cam,’ shows escaped prisoners David Sweat and Richard Matt walking while on the loose on June 24.”

Her journalistic prowess kicked in: “This is so great. How did they get this and how can I?” But Clukey’s pursuit led to a source close to the investigation who revealed that these people were checking on their camp — and were not escapees David Sweat and Richard Matt."

(This is from a blog @ the Albany timesunion, so I'm not positive that it qualifies as MSM)

My first thought when I saw that picture was, "That's not them." It just looks all wrong: wrong clothing for roughing it; out in broad daylight; not an antique shotgun, as described...

That Stillwater man was minimum security and he was outside the prison, tending to the grounds with a little group - when you drive to Minnesota prisons, it is normal to see the minimum security men/women be outside raking, tidying the grounds. That Stillwater man walked off from the group - just left. I recall one man telling me about the 1st time he was out in a group like that - - no guards, all on their honor - he described what it felt like to know one hypothetically could walk off....

I've seen prison worker shift change, and their belongings (e.g., one overweight guard with two quite huge coolers presumably full of food and bevs' for a 12 hr. shift) and their belongings go through the scanner.

Could drugs have been transported through the paintings in any way? Curious.

I hope LE is not taking everything Sweat says at face value. Surely not! IMO, Sweat could be misleading them on purpose as just a way to 'get his revenge' so to speak. He could have them running around on wild goose chases for years.

I agree with you. It was staged. I've worked inside a maximum security prison and there is no way this would ever happen here, either. Guards patrol the perimeter in a truck in addition to the tower.

And being short-staffed is no excuse for the lack of leadership and oversight the Clinton facility had. NY's correctional system stinks from the head down and needs a major overhaul.

This prison break was because somebody got the inmates the blueprints, imo.

That prison is minimum security. A bit of difference from maximum security.

Wondering same but if Matt was asleep I would think Sweat would have taken the gun. Odd for a coupla psychopaths to have a kinship of that nature. Maybe Matt protected that gun Mach 90 when sleeping LOL

No tomatos but I'm wondering if Sweat really just wanted to get out of the country with zero intention of hurting anyone? Maybe just try to get through the border and that's why he didn't take the gun? I read that he told the officer that caught him he just didn't want to go back to prison. I'm not saying he was a swell guy I'd like to be friends with but 33 days out there it seems like they sure could have hurt someone and they didn't.

Matt on the other hand it seems got sloppy drunk and sounds like he just started shooting out of frustration and prob hit that camper by accident.

I don't know just talking out loud (or typing).
