Anyone else think it's a possibility that LE has not told Sweat that Matt is dead, but rather that they captured him too and that he's talking? Investigators use strategies of putting two suspects in different rooms and go back and forth to them saying the other is saying such and such in an attempt to get info out of them.

I'm just wondering if it's a possibility that LE told Sweat that Matt is claiming the plan was to go to Mexico and Sweat said yeah, that was the plan.

:moo: possible but not very probable. These guys are career criminals. Even I know #1 Am I being detained #2 Am I free to go #3 I want a lawyer.

No way in Hades will he utter a word re this escape prior to a lawyer even if sedated and not thinking straight. :moo: Cuomo (not LE) saying he is TALKING (*cough*) to LE...was him saying "I want a lawyer/or his name" :moo:

Perhaps Cuomo thought putting this out in the media would make *others* uncomfortable? :dunno:

So - together - S&M made a good team - on the run.
They did not get caught until after they separated.
I am guessing - that ONE would be the lookout while the other slept and rested.

I am also guessing that Matt had a cold, allergies, pneumonia, bronchitis or was sickly,
because

a) Sweat said he separated from Matt cuz Matt was "slowing him down" (I am guessing cuz Matt was older and out of shape) and/or
b) the actual blisters that Matt had on his feet and/or
c) Matt was "slowing him down" because Matt was sick (hence the coughing) that law enforcement heard outside the cabin door
previous to shooting Matt.

Also I believe Matt was sick from something he ate or drank (there were reports of soiled underwear). I also wonder if his drinking alcohol was a factor or if that happened after they seperated?

Osu, likely why they were assigned to the prison tailor department, imo. Indicates their intentions as to their escape plan too, imo.. You wouldn't need camo clothing unless you were headed straight to the woods..

IMO: With due respect, I think there's more crooked Clinton staff, and 'Meet Tillie at the Sewer Lid at Midnite' was The One & Only plan. IMO, after Tillie no-showed, an unknown crooked Clinton staffer MAN who was also in on this, got Matt & Sweat burner phones with txt directions and photo pics' and maps of the 1st cabin. IMO that crooked Clinton staffer got those 2 to that 'resting point A', so that Matt & Sweat could catch some Zzzzzs. Pop Tarts, maps, h20, all that stuff was deliberately left for those 2. And IMO, otherwise it would be super duper normal for that cabin to be loaded with bug spray and male camouflage tops & bottoms. IMO

If Sweat left days before Matt was caught and killed on Friday that means that he was not within the parameter of the search that LE was so convinced he was in. I'm still amazed that both of these men were caught.

Good Thought! I don't think that's too illegal.....lol. Let's hope they are feeding him tons of pain meds! I'll wait to see what I hear he says before deciding if I believe it.......

I think it's good they publicized the pic of Sweat. If only to reassure the local area residents.

WOW so I'm finally "caught up" and am curious if there are any laws against shooting an unarmed man in the back even if he is an escaped killer? I read somewhere that there is an "internal investigation" which I assume is standard for any time an officer shoots someone but I would hope he isn't going to be in any trouble per say.

Side note: This was a very detailed plan that almost worked. If the get away driver had shown, those guys would be long gone IMO. I wonder how she really feels now that one is dead (assuming he is the one she "loved") and the other is "talking" Oh to be a fly on the wall!

Other Side Note: I think the paintings are beautiful. That in no way makes me a supporter of the person who painted them but it does make me sad that talent like that was wasted on a cop killer and a "serial" murderer. I can barely draw a stick man smiley face.

Sweat just may be talking because of his ego. He has nothing to gain or lose by talking. Perhaps just feeding his inflated ego? I have thought from the start Tillie was the Plan. Only plan. Mexico? Sounds right to me. Matt had some ties there. Easy to join up with criminal elements. Tillie didn't show so off they went into the Forest. Came upon cabins with supplies, cammo, maps etc. I just dont believe the Forest was a plan until last minute. IMO they would want to get as far away as quickly as possible.
