WOW so I'm finally "caught up" and am curious if there are any laws against shooting an unarmed man in the back even if he is an escaped killer? I read somewhere that there is an "internal investigation" which I assume is standard for any time an officer shoots someone but I would hope he isn't going to be in any trouble per say.

Side note: This was a very detailed plan that almost worked. If the get away driver had shown, those guys would be long gone IMO. I wonder how she really feels now that one is dead (assuming he is the one she "loved") and the other is "talking" Oh to be a fly on the wall!

Other Side Note: I think the paintings are beautiful. That in no way makes me a supporter of the person who painted them but it does make me sad that talent like that was wasted on a cop killer and a "serial" murderer. I can barely draw a stick man smiley face.

Anyone who runs from law enforcement is begging to get shot even if they are unarmed. Maybe Sweat planned on 'suicide by cop'. If so, it didn't quite work out the way he planned & that is actually pretty funny.

I saw the video posted on twitter but it was not from MSN but when I saw the post above about FBI investigating and I saw the pic of the tower it reminded me of the video I saw so I googled and found that NPR had the video. It looks like this is a common way to get food up to the CO's but seems sketchy to me.

If Tillie was actually going to show up to drive the escapees to Mexico, wouldn't she have packed for a trip? I hope LE searched the Mitchell home for evidence of Tillie's alleged departure plan. If there were no bags packed, no passport, significant cash, etc. - the usual things that people do when preparing to travel - then it would seem that Tillie wasn't really planning to head to Mexico like Sweat is claiming. :moo:
