The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is actively searching for 39-year-old Cody M. Johnson, who was reported missing the afternoon of Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Cody was last seen at a residence on outer Number Four Road in the Town of Watson at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Cody made a phone call at about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, which is the last known contact with him.

Cody's dog is also missing, which is a white pit bull with black and white harness.

Cody is a white male, 6'2", 195 lbs., with short brown hair, last seen wearing blue jeans and black sweatshirt with red lettering and black boots.

Cody may be on foot walking in the area, which is heavily wooded. New York State Forest Rangers are assisting with the search.

If anyone has information on Cody's whereabouts please contact our office at 315-376-3511.

I wonder what he said during that phone call. Did he want to go hiking with his dog?

Is that a current picture of him and of his dog (the one that's also missing)? If so, the description of the dog isn't correct. The one pictured is a red nose pittie with a red coat and white markings.

I hope they are both found quickly and unharmed.

That's a photo of the man missing. This is about Cody Johnson missing and his white pit bull missing.

So there is no current picture of the missing dog?

I ask because they may become separated, and it would be good to have a picture of both the missing man and his missing dog.

there's another missing notice that says brown & white so I'd assume it's this dog.

I'm local and it's cold and wet out. It snowed on the Tug Hill overnight and that is the area he's missing from.

Hope he's found soon.

Thank you so much for the update. I sure hope they are found quickly.

Yes, there is water in that area. The odd thing to me is that if CJ is deceased, where is the dog???
