State police investigators say they're hoping to speak to the person or persons who would have had contact with an 18-year-old college student who disappeared in the Adirondacks while home on spring break two years ago.

Saw this this morning and wanted to quickly post before I head off to work, not sure if it has been posted above.

Colin...where are you????

I saw this last night and again this morning on WCAX (I think this is the same link Kadence posted?)

http://www.wcax.com/story/24932183/2-years-later

How heartbreaking for the family not to know what happened. Hopefully, someone will come forward with information to bring Colin home.

Are there going to be more searches if this winter ever ends?

My thoughts are very much with the Gillis family today especially.

Colin...where are you????

From the above article:

"Troopers say the investigation has also focused on the people who would have interacted with Gillis the morning he disappeared and haven't reported that contact to state police."

Very telling. Tupper Lake is a very small community and everyone knows everyone. Someone knows something, it's time to talk.

Please light a candle for Colin tonight and as Tarabull shared, March Forth Team Colin!

I'm so pleased with WCAX. They aired a lengthy piece on Colin Gillis at 6:37pm ... very good coverage 2 minutes 20 seconds in length!!! (Plus a segment on missing VT woman Maryann Foster.)

I wouldn't say anything new to us was presented but some locals were interviewed and a detective - a plea was made for people to not feel that any bit of info is too small. I'm so hopeful this recent coverage will generate new leads.

I'm still here, just giving the Gillis family some time.

Here is another article from Denton Publications (thank you!)

http://www.denpubs.com/news/2014/mar/12/police-still-seek-clues-two-year-search/

From the article, which answers the question regarding ongoing searches:

" The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations Unit located in Ray Brook continues to run down leads in this investigation,” said Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer V. Fleishman in a press release on the two-year anniversary of Gillis going missing.

“Although limited searches of the woods and water near where Colin was last seen will continue, a large portion of the area has been eliminated,” the release said."

I am very happy that they are still working on things and not giving up. I know we're not giving up!

I agree that the heat is on and someone is going to crack, how you would keep something secret like that is just unbelievable to me! I watched an episode of Dateline about the two "friends" that killed Skylar Neese, they didn't like her and didn't want to be friends with her anymore. That's just surreal to me, evil lurks :(. Luckily one of them cracked and it led to them being arrested and Skylar being located.

If you would like to see the episode, it's titled "Something Wicked", that's an understatement:

Still here - please hang in with me all! I'm hoping we have some new leads that are being worked on so things are quiet.

Some answers - Colin rode to the party with more than one person, they stopped at a location on Lincoln Avenue and picked up some others before they arrived there.

SunsetGirl and ForesterJake, if you're still out there could you please add Lincoln Avenue to your map and repost for everyone (me :() ?

I don't have much to offer here but prayers. I'm a mother, with sons...I think of Colin & his parents often.
