OLEAN — An Olean native who has been missing for more than two weeks remains the subject of a search by law enforcement and her family and friends.

Danielle “Dani” Haskins, 37, who lived in Franklinville for the past nine years before coming back to Olean to stay with friends, was last heard from on Feb. 12 when she said she was headed to Buffalo to go shopping with a friend.

The Western New York Missing and Unidentified Persons Network began placing flyers on Facebook and on Twitter over the weekend, prompting a new round of tips for family and police.

No car mentioned. How was Danielle getting to Buffalo? Was the friend supposed to pick her up?

It's not uncommon for those living in the Southtowns even as far as Olean, to come to Buffalo to shop, usually heading back home the same day. Was she going to Buffalo, or Niagara Falls, the better mall is in Niagara Falls. My family has property in Franklinville, its about an hours drive, give or take. I also would be interested to know how she was traveling. Does she have friends or associates in Buffalo?

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — An Olean woman has gone missing since Feb.12, 2022. The family of 37-year-old Danielle Thompson Haskins seeks answers of Danielle's whereabouts.

Her sister, Shannon Nichole York, says Danielle struggles with mental health. It worries her and the rest of her family.

"She has a mental sickness. She's supposed to be on medicine," York says. "I talked to Rite Aid, and they told me she hasn't been there since January 19th, which means she's off her medicine. She has simply told us she'd be happier dead."

The sheriff's office said Danielle was found dead Tuesday in the Olean area, but would not provide further details.
