'It was just her and the boat owner on the boat. She phoned her boyfriend and she told him she was just about to be picked up by an Uber. There is such a short timeline between when she made the call and when the 911 call was made.'

These crucial minutes between the two phone calls, made around midnight last Tuesday, are at the centre of a police investigation.

Martha died while on a 27ft boat called Ripple and the other person on board was the owner of the 25-year-old vessel. Aged in his early 60s, it is believed he is the man eyewitnesses reportedly described running naked along the jetty shouting for help''

So the man on The Ripple (the boat) is the "business meeting" and not her boyfriend??

I didn't think I was confused, but now I am!

Perhaps this explains how/why the man on the boat is not named, not making public comment, etc.

I really don’t want to speak ill of the dead, but are we sure she wasn’t escorting?

“Business meeting” on a Monday with a 60 year old man until 1am, and he started running around the marina naked yelling for help? Flying around on private planes and helicopters with an unknown bikini business that runs off a Shopify page? Maybe the boyfriend was rich, but this isn’t really adding up as “normal course of business”.

It’s also odd that some friends don’t know anything about a husband, yet she has one filing for divorce in court. It seems weird…

TikTok captures Martha Nolan's driven life before her last night in Montauk
It has crossed my mind, yes.

My hinky meter had been standing-by quiet, but it's turned on now.

I'm still leaning toward accidental OD but....what was going on?

From link in quoted post:

Given the considerable age gap between them, Martha's friends are mystified as to why she was alone with the boat owner so late last Tuesday night. One friend told the MoS: 'He would be 60 or so years old, and Martha recently told a friend he had asked to meet her. 'But it does not make sense why she was alone with him or why he was naked.Martha's boyfriend was away on a work trip last weekend. Martha was very happy with her boyfriend, and she was very in love with her boyfriend.'

I thought she and her boyfriend were staying on the boat! And I thought the "business meeting" was elsewhere. I apologize for my confusion previously on the thread.

Naked 60yo boat guy was the business meeting.

MOO but I think we'll be learning about a lot of shady dealings in this case.

I had been resisting that conclusion but....yep.

Lots of greed/ grifting and illicit activity surrounding this story.
It’s rife for a Vanity Fair cover article.
Martha was definitely living life in the fast lane.
Ambitions sometimes lead to deceitfulness and downright criminality.
Accusations of felony theft, pending divorce (no telling what the circumstances) - quickly trading up to a new partner/fiancé and living on the upper east side of Manhattan while summering in the Hamptons on “party boats” with naked older men….. no telling what is true but it definitely sounds like a lot of drama.
Beautiful Martha would have been better off staying in Ireland.
My heart goes out to her loved ones.
Naked 60 yo owned two “party” boats that were both docked at the Montauk yacht club. He and Martha went out on one boat, came back and boarded the second boat- “The Ripple” which is where she was found dead.
There is a question in my mind whether boat owner was dealer/ supplier or just a wealthy yacht owner who owned two boats- one may have been a regular charter rental that provided booze and possibly drugs.
The Hamptons is coked up and coke can be laced/ cut with fentanyl among other things.
Martha may have texted her boyfriend/ fiancé that she intended to Uber back to their rental but if he was out of town she may have intended to spend the night on the boat or leave later.
One of my first thoughts is that the (as of yet unnamed) 60 yo owner of the two boats may have tried to strangle Martha during sex (or whatever sickos do to enhance pleasure.)
I’m assuming that is not the case as bruising may have been evident if that was what happened.
I do think Martha was on that boat willingly but I think her payoff may have been coke and not escort money.
I think the majority of people in Montauk and farther afield think that there is a great likelihood that illegal drugs may have contributed to Martha’s death.
Everyone will be surprised if that isn’t the case.
Also - what kind of legal business would anyone be meeting about late at night?
All IMHO and pure speculation.

From this DM link:
She left Street Diligence after two years, bouncing around at multiple companies before starting her firm Brand Growth Consultants - which has an online presence that appears to be completely AI-generated - in 2021. (Brand Growth Consultants)

She launched several companies that same year, including her direct-to-consumer Amazon brand Duper (sunglasses under $20) (Amazon.com : duper)

the boat owner was seen running outside naked screaming 'that's my girlfriend' as he tried to get help from other boaters.

snipped

AI-generated fits what I'm thinking about this case - All that seems to glitter in "real life" is not gold.

I think the fast life caught up with her, but exactly how remains to be seen.

She is listed as Director of Operations at K4 Management, which shows addresses in NYC and Nashville. Scroll down at the link:

Her pop-up was at Gurney's, about 6 miles from the Montauk Yacht Club. The 2025 pop-ups listed in this story include Dolce & Gabbana clothing and La Prairie facial treatments. The East x East pop-up is not mentioned. MOO but I find it curious that a little-known line was selected alongside those well-known, huge, international brands.

Crickets still on the 60 yr old boat owner whose boat "Ripple" was reported to be registered in Long Beach NY.
Is the man a resident of Long Beach?
Why has he yet to be identified?

In the real world her little businesses weren't even a glitch on the fashion radar screen.

If this 60 yr old guy is wealthy then that could explain why she was out on a "business" meeting (according to her bf) at midnight.

imo

This case has gotten a lot weirder since I last checked and there is much to unpack...
So... As far as I can gather, Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra:
  • is currently married (and separated) and has started proceedings for a divorce.
  • is living with her new boyfriend and is expected to marry him
  • had told her new boyfriend (who was away for work) that she was having a "business meeting" (in the middle of the night)...
  • but was actually out on a "party boat"
  • had told her new boyfriend that she was about to get an Uber home...
  • but had actually moved from the first party boat to the second party boat with its 60 year owner (who happened to be naked... and referring to Martha as his "girlfriend").
  • owner of both "party boats" (aside from being naked), seems to be unable or unwilling to call emergency services, nor perform CPR when Martha falls unconscious...
  • instead, he runs around screaming (did I mention that he's still naked?) and throwing sun lotion bottles at other yachts to gain attention.
  • someone else finally calls 911 and commences CPR but is unable to revive Martha.
Did I miss anything?

Speculation at the Insta I linked above. I'm doing a deep dive but obviously nothing I can post here.
