A man accused of kidnapping two Amish sisters from their family's roadside vegetable stand pleaded guilty this morning to all 21 federal charges of child and sexual exploitation of six girls.

Stephen Howells II, 39, admitted he victimized six children from December 2012 through August of last year, when he and his girlfriend, Nicole Vaisey, were charged with kidnapping the Amish sisters in St. Lawrence County.

Nicole Vaisey spotted four Amish girls traveling in a buggy on country road in July and sent a text message to her boyfriend.

Vaisey told Stephen Howells II in the text that she'd spotted four "pixies/princesses," a federal prosecutor said in court this morning.

"It would be perfect," Vaisey said in the text, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Lisa Fletcher.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Federal prosecutors dispute Nicole Vaisey's claim that she acted under duress of her boyfriend in the kidnapping of two Amish sisters and sexual abuse of six children.....

The agreement says Vaisey had "the right to choose to leave her servitude with the items (she) brought into the relationship and (her) personal items," court papers said.

"Within the limits of physical safety and my ability to earn a livelihood, I, pet, willingly choose to be the exclusive property of Sir Stephen," the agreement said.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Nicole Vaisey admitted Thursday morning in federal court that she helped her boyfriend kidnap two Amish girls and sexually exploited four girls as she pleaded guilty to 10 felonies.

Vaisey pleaded guilty in a quiet voice to nine counts of sexually exploiting children for the purpose of producing child and one conspiracy charge. The victims were between 6 and 11 years old.

And per screecher's link above, she also has yet to be sentenced by the federal judge, who very well may give her that max 300 years. In which case she'd be an RSO behind bars for life.

Vaisey, who studied the psychology of rape as a college student in 2011, pleaded guilty [*in St. Lawrence County Court] to the maximum charge and will receive the maximum sentence of 25 years, Rain said. The two counts will run concurrent, she said.

Sentencing is set for Oct. 2 in St. Lawrence County Court. Vaisey also will be a registered sex offender, Rain said.

"It saved the children from testifying and having to relive this nightmare," Rain said.

Howells has not yet pleaded guilty in county court, but "he has always wanted to plea," Rain said.

"We wanted Nicole to plea first. Her defense was, 'He made me do it,'" the district attorney said. "(On Monday,) she admitted they were each other's accomplice. They did it together."

A plea date is now being scheduled for Howells.

Last month, Vaisey pleaded guilty in federal court to nine counts of sexually exploiting children to produce child and one conspiracy charge. U.S. District Judge Glenn Suddaby could sentence her to up to 300 years in prison for the crimes. Sentencing is scheduled Sept. 25.

Howells also pleaded guilty to 21 federal charges of child and sexual exploitation of six girls.

580 yrs sounds like a fair sentence to me. In reality, I wish they'd give the death penalty to child molesters but since that will never happen a 500 yr sentence is the next best thing.

A case like this makes me question why we *don't* have the death penalty for child kidnap and rape. Because really, what do individuals like this ever have to contribute to society ever again? They are only a burden and a cancer. IMO.
