Found Deceased NY- Dominic Michael Davy, 30, Endicott, 10 April 2020

Oh, man. I check on this thread and was hoping he would be found. I hope they can acertain what happened---foul play, accident or suicide. Uggghh. So sorry to his family and friends. He seemed like a great guy, a great teacher, and great family man.

Help Bring Dom Home

Almost 450 comments from people expressing their condolences...a majority of them I assume did not know Dom personally. Although a tragedy no one was hoping for, it’s so heartwarming to see how so many come together & support each other in times like these.
I pray for Dom’s family as they navigate the next few days. I pray for comfort within his children as they process the loss of their father, for strength in his girlfriend as she now must take care of herself & those sweet little ones without Dom, & for the students he left a positive impression on.

In response to Davy’s passing, the Student Association (SA) released a statement emphasizing Davy’s impact on the BU community, including resources for students to utilize in their grief.

“Dominic’s impact on the campus community, as well as his organizing work in the greater Binghamton community, did not go unnoticed,” the SA Executive Board wrote. “Loved and respected by all of his students for his great passion for his work, his memory will long live on in the hearts of those who knew him.”

Vale, fare thee well, Dr Dom.

Binghamton University professor, veteran Dominic Davy remembered as 'selfless, inspirational'

Laura Bronstein, dean of the College of Community and Public Affairs, said Davy was an extraordinary individual.

“He touched the lives of so many people in our community, and because the coronavirus pandemic leaves us without our ability to be close and console each other, the suffering is exacerbated," Bronstein said.

A public Zoom event is being planned for those who are mourning the loss.

I live just one block from where his jeep was found. I didn’t even hear that they had found his body until a client of mine who is student at the university told me. She said she had heard he might have been murdered. I thought from the time he disappeared this was probably a suicide. Have they confirmed that there was definitely no foul play? Endicott can certainly be rough (as can most Binghamton area places aside maybe from vestal) but I walk my dog on river terrace nearly every day and I’ve never felt unsafe.

Missing Endicott man found dead in Owego

The department says the cause of death is listed as "undetermined" and "consistent with drowning."

There is no indication of foul play according to police.

The Endicott Police Department says a toxicology test is pending at Lourdes Hospital.

I wonder what the results of the report stated.
