An unidentified Hispanic female was found deceased on July 31, 1991 in Elmhurst, New York. She was found in an abandoned building at 85-11 Elmhurst Ave. The building was used for illicit activity and frequented by transients. The female had been deceased for only a few hours before being found. She stood approximately 5’3” tall and weighed around 111 pounds. She had wavy black hair and brown eyes. She is estimated to be 16-25 years old. She was found wearing green shorts, a green blouse, and a black jacket with the name “MIKE” in red letters. The female had received dental care in life as a few dental fillings were seen in her teeth. The image above is a facial reconstruction completed by a NCMEC Forensic Artist that depicts what the female may have looked like in life.

The stats match up fairly well, the timeline is much less consistent. However, Blanca's mother apparently dated a man involved with drug trade, and the building the UID was found was used for that sort of activity. Just a thought.

Unknown hispanic female found unresponsive on the 2nd floor of an abandoned building at 85-11 Elmhurst Ave. Two men employed by the landlord entered the building to fumigate and discovered her. The building had been abandoned, and was used by drug users and homeless individuals. The landlord recognized the decedent as having been to the building on several occasions.



I am surprised nobody knew her if the landlord had seen the girl in the building Several times. If the building is abandoned the Landord I am assuming was not living there. I am wondering since he saw her several times if she had belonging there that were hers and if people around Knew who she was.

Mary Ellen Cobb said her daughter, Tina Marie Crouch, was 20 years old when she said she was going to the store and never returned.
Crouch would be 36 years old today. She has never contacted her family since her disappearance.
She was about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed 110 pounds when she went missing. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, a light purple jacket and athletic shoes.
She is white with brown eyes and brown hair, but may have dyed it blonde, and has pierced ears. She has a scar on the right side of her abdomen and may have a tattoo of a rose on her ankle.
Cobb said her daughter was last seen with a man in the Jackson Street area. She disappeared about four hours after her family ran off her boyfriend, Cobb said.

I wonder if shed been arrested before, if she was caught trespassing at that building multiple times she likely trespassed elsewhere. They also indicated the building was used for illicit activity, so she may have a mugshot out there somewhere.

I think the landlord (or more likely, the super) had probably seen her around the building, but she was not a legal tenant - the building was abandoned and used as a crack house - people come and go, and you might know their faces but not their real names, or any name at all.

Just throwing my 2 cents in here, I see her aka was Katita, idk if other Hispanic cultures use this word but Puerto Ricans use that as a nickname for a talkative woman, catita is like a parrot/parakeet. Chileans say catita means ladybug to them though.
